The less halls there are the better imo. Just another way to have the society accumulate more wealth, get volunteers to do the work free loan them the money to pay for the property, materials, fees, etc. And them charge them interest on money that has been donated just for that. What a scam. Hope they don't get on appeal either. the hell with them.

Bible and animals

"King David of Israel was mindful of Jehovah's prohibition against multiplyhing horses. In his victory over Hadadezer of Zobah, David could have added many horses to his army, but instead, he kept only the number he deemed sufficient for his immediate purposes and ordered the remainder to be hamstrung. (2SAm I*:3, 4; 1Chron. 18: 3, 4) This was also in keeping with the divinely authoized procedure followed by Joshua at the time of the conquest of the Promised Land. Joshua 11: 6, 9."

need good information about ice drillings
by the_end_of_eternity ini am in this discussion with an elderm and it is all about the age of the polar caps, coral reefs etc.
for abvious reasons this is important discussion.. anyway, what is good scientific information proving (or priving not) the age is more then a few 1000 years old.... i know there have been some drillings done etc.
most siytes just give this as a fact, which i do not doubt so much, but of course he wants more prove.. same with the age of the coral islands (atols).. thanks all.. end_of_eternity.

the did bring out in one particular paragraph paragraph 5, that the release in 1928 at the convention of the book government supplied the clearest of proofs that god set his anointed king upon his throne in 1914. does anyone happen to have a pdf of the pages from the government book?

I can't believe anyone would actually believe them after 1925 fiasco but one is born every second (i know i was one of the gullible at one time). also in paragraph 4 of Chpt 26 it brings out the Advertise, Advertise, Advertise the king and his kingdom talk does anyone have the whole talk so it can be shown that this pertained to the coming in 1925????? Pleawe to let me know.

Holidays - How do you feel?
by pratt1 inas holiday time approaches, many of us ex dubs have mixed feeling going on in our head.. are you happy and excited because now you can celebrate the holidays with family (maybe) and friends, or are you depressed or just ambivialent about the whole thing?.
it took my a few years just to feel comfortable wishing someone a happy holiday, and a few more years before i actually celebrated a holiday.. now i celebrate every holiday, and i am always excited about the event, although i don't place any spiritually/religious meaning towards the event and i just enjoy the chance to socialize with family and friends.. what about you?.

RBC's and money.
by ush419 init was mentioned in the comments that rbc's were having people sign something or other that meant that they would sign over all check from their insurance companies (if they had one) over to the society.
do we have any out there on the board who have had first hand experience with this, or who have served on an rbc or worked on repairing others houses who heard it mentioned about giving the insurance monies to the www?

Blonde, thanks for that info, I have heard it in the past and like ush, I would really like to know what is going on with that. I will try and see what I can find out from this end. I had a doctor friend who was in Lousiana after Katrina helping where he could and then also in Texas and he didn't have much good to say about witnesses. In fact he hardly seen any or heard about them and what he did hear and see IHO wasn't very flattering. Different sides to each story I suppose.
