  My Husband

  on the 12th of this month, around 9:30pm, i was getting ready to leave for work.

  running around, putting on clothes, making sure i had everything ready and the kids were settled in bed.

  my husband, shawn, was laying aross our bed, resting, he stood up and suddenlly put his hand to his chest.

  I'M MOVIN' ON IN LIFE

  so i've been here now about 4 months and about to be upgraded from a newbie.

  (woohooo!!!).

  and since i didn't get to go to college and a host of other things (i really wonder just how good of a baseball player i could have been).

  What I've Learned After 2,000 Posts!

  ive been watching my number of posts climb towards 2,000 in recent days.. it seemed a good time to contemplate what ive learned in the two years, seven months and five days (according to my profile) since i joined the interactive fray although i lurked here for more than a year while i was a jw elder.

  during that time, i read every single post starting with the first page and caught up.

  of course, its impossible to read every one now, its so big, but it's been quite an education.

  Letter writing to local hospital

  i was thinking of writing a letter to our local hospital, the hospital board, and the human relations dept of the hospital regarding the hiring of jw's.

  i can think of 4 jw's employed there right now!.

  i remember reading an article regarding jw's willingness to disclose personal health information to the elders, and would like to alert the hospital of this practice.. can anyone help me locate that article and what i should say?

  You are probably correct in assuming that the JW's there have reviewed your file. (if they know you were a JW).
  I am aware of one JW actually turning in another based on medical records.

  My Dad died this evening

  i thought i would let you know that my dad, passed away a little while ago, tonight, january 23. they called me at 6pm to tell me.

  he had been failing rapidly for the past month, and had completely lost his hearing and was totally blind.

  the dementia was extreme too, and he still knew me on thursday, but didn't wake up to know me in the following days.
