ok - this thread about wt and their money got me thinking.... http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/116971/1.ashx ...for all those here that still attend meetings.. go to your "literature servant" at the next meeting and request a couple new bibles, wt cd's, songbooks, or double your magazine order, etc.
just make sure you forget to donate.. lets keep those wt printers busy!!!

I remember back 10 years ago, I wanted a CD, and the brother knew I wasn't working and wouldn't contribute enough cause it was expensive, and they never wanted to give it to me.....

When I was on the accounts it would appear that most people "forgot" to donate. ;About once a year we would send a cheque form the congregations funds to cover at least come of the shortfall
Interesting. Was this money "requested" from the society? How did you know how much $ to send???? Good comments everybody!!

by sinis inwell, last night i asked my "believing" wife that question (if you could ask only one question and get a truthfull response, what would it be?).
now mind you, i have been working on my wife for awhile since she still goes to meetings.
yet, she still insists that it is the "truth".

While being an active JW, did you throw away Watchtower literature?
by JH ini remember that magazines and books came in faster than i could read, it was accumulating fast.
in my first years, i didn't dare throw away anything.
even later when i was starting to cool down, i still had mountains of books, magazines and brochures.

I'm with JH. Hang on to them until you are 100% ready to discard of them. I had a hard time at first throwing EVERYTHING away. Then one day, I was just like, what's the point? This stuff makes me sick, all that it represents.... I don't want it in my house.
Maybe since it's taking up space in your house, it'll hurry you along. Think of all the shoes, clothes etc you could use for that space instead! LOL!

Yes, I did. ( holding my head high)
I threw away the KM's once we were done.
Since I never "talked" at the door in service I had a lot of leftover mags too. I would toss those too. Ya, I felt bad about it, but I guess not bad enough to try to place more the next month!
