  Australian Child Abuse Royal Commission - Jehovah's Witnesses and Watchtower to appear on 10 March 2017

  latest date just published for case study 54, jehovah's witnesses and watchtower.

  the scope and purpose of the public hearing is to inquire into:.

  they are doing it for this case so I believe they will continue with case 54 on Friday. The ARC have also said the date may change so to keep checking.

  i believe this has appeared into today's edition of the cairns post print newspaper (saturday 4 february 2017) at the top of page 4 under the headline: "indecent charges for man" - the actual text of the article is apparently the same as the online version below:.

  an elderly tablelands man and former jehovah’s witness member will appear in court this month amid allegations he molested three young girls from the church more than 25 years ago.

  You are right the article is not the same as the BCG case.

  I believe Angus was questioning Ron de Rooy about another case not related to BCG that happened in the Mareeba congregation.

  watch the video again my understanding is that Angus is not talking about BCG's father. Ron de Rooy says he vaguely remembers dealing with this person.

  This is the elder from Mareeba congregation. I would have a guess that Angus is questioning the elder about this case.

  Very damming if it is the same case as in the lead up to this questioning, Angus is asking the elder how do you protect the congregation from an abuser if he is deemed repentant and no one knows he is an abuser.. check it out.

  just doing research and came across this.. i know this is old however.

  here we have a worldly organisation distributing pamphlets and warning parents about child abuse.. last point in particular.

  3) inform the child that what happened is against the law and that it is necessary to report it to the police so that it will not happen again.. pretty straight forward if you ask me.. watchtower were happy to use that in their magazine.

  I wonder whether someone managed to sneak this into the magazine before someone higher up realized..

  "hey what were you thinking? I don't think we should put that in the mag. we don't want the brothers getting the idea we should report child abusers to the police".....

  I remember some time in the late 70's or 80's.. They had a convention part mentioning the spiritistic dangers of music.. They told us go home and look at your record covers if you see something suspicious destroy it..poor old Billy Joel got turfed because his eyes were spooky..   Child Abuse in Mexico

  According to Mexico City’s justice department, “1 in every 8 girls and 1 in every 10 boys are victims of sexual abuse in Mexico City,” reports El Universal newspaper. The justice department is distributing pamphlets that warn parents about sexual abuse and recommend the course of action that should be taken in the event of actual abuse. The recommendations include the following: (1) Believe and support your child when he or she reports being sexually abused. (2) Explain to the child that he or she is not responsible for what happened.   Yes why not mention that there is a Royal Commission going on in Australia about child abuse.

  And that the Australian government is investigating institutions in an effort to protect children from abuse.

  We know why! Because they want to keep the rank and file in the dark.
