if i remember correctly, these and other scriptures like it support the belief of "paradise on earth" inhabited by righteous people forever.
sorry to make you pull out your bibles, but do these verses confirm that the earth will always exist (i.e., never totter) and that the righteous will live on it forever?

What really happens to people when they die?

How do you explain the claims of those who have flatlined and view, from an aerial position, thier physical selves & the doctors working on them? They then find themselves returning to the body. Was that spirit? consciousness? energy? an out of body experience? astral planing?
What about others that, considered dead for a time, speak of a white light they are drawn to & seeing spirits/images of dead relatives? Some speak of an individual, that is notably exuding of great power/energy, that plays out thier life before them as if a recorded movie. Then somewhere along the line they are told it is not yet thier time. There's more they need to do. They return to thier physical existence, as well. They also change their lives/lifestyle.
People with serious illnesses have seen spirits /images of dead relatives, neighbors, friends. People as they are nearing death see deceased folk, also. Are these just hallucinations or are we guided/escorted into the realm of death? Besides those who have a "sixth sense", are we only consciously aware of the presence of spirits when our physical bodies are breaking down or weakened in some form or fashion?

the radio talk show my husband is listening to - The Randi Roads Show (not sure of the exact spelling) on Air America Radio. A female talk show host/personality. There's a lot of discussion about the war, the President, etc.the sound of the car(s) hubby is racing on his Grand Tourismo game 3 or 4

Spring, thunderstorms, sunsets, sunrises, the smell of fragrant flowers -( honeysuckle, roses, lavender), water fountains, oceans, waterfalls, scenic routes, countrysides
puppies, kittens, watching tropical fish in a large scenic tank, butterflies
the smell of a new car, freshly done laundry; a bathed, lotioned and powdered baby; a showered, shaved, and musk oiled hubby; a showered, deodorized, and lotioned son
eskimo kisses with hubby and grandchildren, Hugs and kisses from family and friends, snuggling with hubby, walks on the beach holding hands or arm in arm, moonlight strolls
spending quality time with those I care about, watching TV, going to a movie or watching it at home on a DVD, reading a good book, board games, cards
fruit smoothies, cheesecake with fruit, fruited shortcake, herb teas iced or hot,
ballets, plays, concerts, bullfights~ the dance of the matador,
... and the list goes on ...
