  In Search of Christian Freedom came in today.
  My JW friends are calling and are concerned. I have dropped off meeting attendance drastically this winter. First I was very sick, I had some down time and really started thinking about the org and don't go now for that reason.
  I was talking to a sister today and told her I left after the talk last week, I got my hour of getting beat up. The talk was on entertainment. She said the brothers don't follow the bible sometimes when they give talks. I said well, I just could not sit through another hour of WT.
  Soooooooooo I am running out of excuses!!!! yikes.

  I was abused and controlled as a child.
  I went to an abusive/controlling marriage.
  Had An abusive/controlling job.
  and the biggest was an abusive/controlling Religion.
  
  Like all relationships that are Bad there is some good.
  
  A visit with Dr. Phil should clear it all up.

  My copy came in and I picked it up today.
  I have a friend that I met online.....about 5 years ago. At the time he was an elder and I was a struggling sister. All was good. He is theotherside at this site. No longer an elder, no longer goes to meetings.
  
  We know each other in person now.
  
  
  Anyway, theotherside asked me if I was ready to take the pill. Thats whats gonna happen when you read that book.
  
  I guess I am going to find out.
  If I don't come back for awhile, it is becuase I am reading.

  It was making me physically sick. Single mom, work, meetings and when not at the meetings GUILT!!! a real energy zapper. Service too ..forgot that.
  Not much time for shopping, cleaning, resting, I resent the entertainment talks.......who had the time?????

  i remember the elders telling us that we had to let everyone know that we were a jw.

  does your boss know that you're a jw?

  I never tell anyone. I did work with a young gung-ho sister that of course let it be known that she was and I was too. She was very black and white and i was grey. She witnesses constantly. Everyone liked her, but she was not there for the long haul. A few months. She only dated one person and that is who she married, so they did not really think her advice on dating was applicable. When you work with someone day in and day they dont really care what your beliefs are, just get your work done. I was forever glad she quit.
