  Where (Who) in the World is Hibiscusfire?

  i noticed that hibie hasn't posted since the dating thread where it was pointed out that she borrowed some of her material from other websites, blogs, etc.. hibie has quickly become a fixture here with her threads that draw responses like crazy and her unusual preaching style.

  i don't think i am alone in wondering just who she really is since she seems to avoid all questions directed to her about who she is, how she came to this website, what she is trying to accomplish.. she has been called everything from mentally ill, to born again, to a troll by those on the board.. hibie, in all seriousness, i'd really like to know who you are and how you got here.

  if you are a teenager having fun, that's okay, but some of the stuff on this forum isn't really appropriate for a younger teen.

  That is one incredible story! If anyone had told me that when I was a Witness I would not have believed it. In fact, if it hadn't been posted on this board I would have a hard time believing it.

  Rebel8, you are tooo funny! Gave my my laugh for today. I used to read that scripture in Revelation when I was a Witness and wondered how that could ever be true; unfortunately the Witnesses explained it to me. Anyway, thanks for the laugh.

  Thou shall not kill? Makes no sense?

  i always thought, when reading the bible, that the commandment "thou shall not kill" made no sense.

  after all, the god who supposely gave it commanded his own people to kill.

  so i wonder, did that god actually mean, "thou shall not murder?

  Good post, Katiekitten. I always wondered about that myself, along with the story of Lot who instead of giving the two angels over to the homosexual males in his city, he instead offered his daughters. What the hell was that about? How can than even be justified? Maybe someone can explain the biblical principle and the JW's explanation for it, because I asked the JW's but never got an answer other than homosexuality is wrong. What about daughters to be raped? I may have gotten the account wrong and may be thinking of some other person than Lot; if that's the case, I'm sure someone will let me know.

  At home recuperating from my surgery

  i had the surgery on friday and i am doing well.http://www.spine-health.com/topics/surg/overview/cervical/cerv03.html.

  just really sore but able to walk and get around the house.

  the neck brace is the killer, i was itching and broke out in a rash.

  Yes, I read it. It was entertaining. I found the characters shallow. Much of the information in it was already known; matriarchal society vs. patriarchal society. As far as it being fact, as previously stated on posts here, it is pretty much fiction, though having been raised Catholic, I can see how it would fascinate and repel.

  What Type of Phone & Phone Service Do You Have?

  i no longer have a home phone.

  i just use use my cell (verizon lg) flip.

  i'm thinking of replacing my phone and possibly getting other "toys" like picture taking and so forth...any recommendations?

  I have a Verizon cell and a landline phone. I would like to discontinue the landline for expense and space; however, my cell is always on the blink and I have to use my landline to call and fix/repair/buy new one. When the damn thing don't work, how am I going to call the support number? This has happened several times.

  When I was one of Jehovah's Witnesses I visited my non-Witness relatives frequently. I always left literature in the prospect of converting them, which they politely took but never read, for which I am eternally grateful. I did attend the funerals and weddings, but was always cautious and afraid demons would be involved -- but never were. I always took my children.
