As a matter of fact I do. I have 3 different bibles and comparing them has convinced me even further.
what would the jehovah's witnesses have to say about eating disorders?
presumably any kind of mental illness is frowned upon and put down to weakness of the spirit.....i know when i was in it, one sister was severely chastised for having depression....she was told to have more faith in jehovah and presumably when she did, her husband would stop beating her and sexually abusing their kids which was understandably the source of her depression!

two leading oncologists both agree that my daughter bethany might be alive today if she had not been fed arsenic.
as you may recall, the wts arranged to take my sick daughter into hiding for two months and payed a doctor to prescribe arsenic.
the doctor ant the wts lawyers convinced bethany that the arsenic treatment could cure her.

I quote " I admire you for your forward and loving thinking" what happened ?

A conscience is something that has to be trained. We were not born WITH one. We were born with the ability to develope it. Our consciences are trained through Gods word.

I am sorry if i sound uncaring, but that is to unbelievable for me.

Everything that i believed prior to being a witness I found out were not true. I dont want to argue here, but alot has to do with Doctrine.

Yes I do see the hypocracy within the Cong. Honestly from the deepest part of my heart I am saddened by it. Many times i told myself " I aint going back to the Hall" but I cannot get myself to do it. Not because I am afraid of losing ties with family, I do not have any family in the truth. It is because I Honestly feel i have found the truth and not going to the meetings no more would be my downfall. Ive went through periods of missing meetings and when i wouldnt attend for a couple of weeks i really could feel the affects. When i would miss nobody would call me and that would bring me more down. But I have adopted the attitude, I will not let others dictate my relationship with God.

But talk therapy is a different issue.; How dare we air dirty laundry to complete strangers that are not even JWs
You are somewhat correct billy. Yes we do need to becareful of WHO we go to for therapy. If we do there is nothing wrong with it. Just need to becareful of the advice that is given. Thats all. No biggie

Im certain some "friends" would look down on that. But we are not serving Jehovah because of the "friends" are we?
i wanted to share this recent incident and it really pi$$es me off.
i called my grandfather yesterday who is a believing but inactive jw due to health reasons.
he is 83 and in very poor health and is alone since his wife died 3 years ago.
Ticker i am sorry for that. You are right. Most of the "friends" I know are the same way. However i made it my FIRM resolve not to be like them. If we know how to do what is right and yet do not do it, it is a sin for us. I wont let that slow me down in my worship to God and discipleship of Jesus.
