i'm a young man raised in the jws, been meaning to get the hell out of dodge for a few years now (basically ever since starting a history degree and learning why the jw conception of history, science, and indeed of reality is so utterly nonsensical, in addition to having discovered girls and fun).

i have no qualms about leaving the organization, i don't care what the elders or anyone else think about my decision - with the exception of my family.

i love my family deeply and i know that my decision will really hurt them, especially my mother (a full-time pioneer), and this is making me hesitate to do what i know needs to be done in addition to causing me a lot of worry and stress.

Thats not my intentions at all. Obviously you have no love for Jehovah. Just pointing out your REAL reason for leaving not the lame excuse you gave!

You are typical of many people who leave. They blame the people and the WTBTS, when in fact it is there OWN fault because they do not want to live in accord with Bible standards and princibles.

i started my biblical sereach after i was asked by a brother in my book study group why we could use fraction that was taken from coagulated blood, but can not auto-transfuse {store our own blood for later use} becasue the blood coagulates and then must be poured out onto the ground.

Skyman you lost me right here at the beginning so I went no further. Cain didnt feel great pain for what he did. He was worried about his PUNISHMENT! Read on in that verse and he goes to explain why.

Cain felt great pain for his actions at Gen. 4:13 he said, “My punishment for error is too great to carry”.

You want some advise. Dont smoke weed. The problemis not with the Witness but with YOU and the lack of desire to do what is right in Jehovahs eyes.

Three months later I smoked my first joint - all uphill from there. discovered fun and girls

Another newbie

i just wanted to introduce myself, i have been lurking around for a while reading posts and identifying with so many of the experiences within them.

i have only stopped going to the meetings in the last year and it is only in the last couple of months that i have really started to research this "religion" that has been such a huge part of my life.

i dont live at home any more but am still in regular contact with my jw family and one or two friends.

yet absolutley no contact from the elders to see if they can help in this time of spiritual weekness. Weird.

I know exactly how you feel. Weird? No. It is just reality. What we need to do is FORGE on sis. If you are spiritually weak you need to identify why? Then work from there.If the brothers wont help you, you need to help yourself. Jehovah is always there for you. Believe me THEY will answer for there actions. They will be called to an accounting for there treatment of the flock. But so will we!If we can be forced to stop serving Jehovah because the "FRIENDS treat us bad, then we werent serving Jehovah for the right reasons in the first place.
