A car competing in the Targa West rally crashed into a tree at Gidgegannup about 30 kilometres north-east of Perth about 12pm, a Western Australia police spokesman told smh.com.au.

The car was carrying two people and one had died in the crash, he said.

The major crash investigation unit was at the scene, he said. Ambulances were not called.

The spokesman could not confirm the driver was Mr Brock, although that is being broadcast on Sky News.

Brock, 61, was driving with Mick Hone in a Daytona Coupe.

The circumstances of the accident remain unclear.

The Targa West takes place over four days and is divided into two categories, competition and challenge, the latter catering for relatively standard specification road cars.

The rally began in Perth yesterday.

Race organisers said an announcement would be made soon.

They would confirm only that an accident had taken place.

i've just register to this forum.

i want you to discuss about jw weddings... i mean... why there is no oficial ceremony, as for example baptisms?

here, in spain where i live, the elder only give a speech about marriage&family but always they say that the marriage have been already made at the council-house (it's correct this word?

ola! Comesta? Testigay welcome. The situation you describe in Spain is not unique.

I know for a fact that in El Salvador, Central America the same thing occurs for all religous denominations. The couple getting married must first go and have the legalaties done at the court house. They then go to the church to have the religious ceremony.

I think the issue is the Government wanting to be in charge of the civil/legal aspect. And it won't be only Jehovah's Witnesses that have to follow this process.

The reason why they comply however is probably due to their understanding of the scripture 'pay back ceasers thing to ceaser'. They feel they have to obey the wordly government laws unless it interferes with their ministry work.

i sent my mum an e-mail the other day to let her know about steve irwin's tragic accident.

this morning i got her reply:he will thrive in the new system when he will be able to get up close and personal with all wild creatures without fear.

tis really sad as he was a good genuine man.. .

How many hours do your work a week?

just curious.

i work between 50-to 65 hours a week, sometimes 70. in fact i don't of anyone in the company i work for that works less then 48. does anyone here work a "normal" 40 hour week?

does it even exist anymore?.

i was speaking to this woman at work today, and my phone rang and as my ringer for a certain friend, i have the sponge bob square pants song .... "who lives in a pineapple under the sea .... ".

... well she is a little strange and very ultra christian.

she started telling me, that her church she goes too feel that sponge bob and patrick are portraying the gay lifestyle.

If only it was true. I admire her so much for not being like some of those witnesses that think only JWs will get through. She genuinally believes that Steve will be there.

Its sad because they rest all their hopes on this false lie. If only it was true....!
