i think its based upon how far apart your eyes are.
funnily enough the bf sometimes calls me his little chino girl because he says my eyes look chino... and I kept getting asian celebrities (male & female) for any pic I submitted...

As a child what teachings scared you?

the other day we were discussing some of the things that we were.
taught or discussed at the meetings that scared the hell out of us as children.

How about the torture teachings.
How they would go into detail from the platform about torture JW's had experienced whilst remaining firm for Jehovah. And then the reminder that those who really worship him and are loyal to him will be persecuted.
This used to scare the hell out of me that one day it was inevitable I was going to be tortured. I still can't watch any movies with torture or excessive violence!

Thanx a million.
I've been talking with a lady who has witnesses at her work. She would like to be able to sit down and talk with them and perhaps anti witness to them. She wanted to use some of their own literature in her arguments so I thought that might be a good resouce.
And kudos to Quotes for giving us such an invaluable resource!!!

Somethings just not true!
by defd inive been here for sometime now.
long enough to know that some peoples hatred toward th wtbts and some of its members are based on wrong information.
for instance: ive read on hear many times that the wt promotes the idea that everyone whos not a witness are not friend material or will be destroyed at armageddon.

I honestly believe that they publication may say that. But it is in order to deflect some of the bad press circulating about the cult that they break up relationships, families and friends.
I challenge you to start associating openly with non Jehovah's Witnesses and see how long it takes for the elders to turn up on your door with a Shepherding Call. By all means show them the article you refer to and listen carefully to their response.
We all know that it is a load of baloney!

by pele38 ini must say, i never thought that i would see the day when i would find a site about disillusioned (mostly) jehovah's witnesses, but low and behold...one truly exists.
first let me start off by saying thank you to the creators of this site, and i'll have you know that i've been lurking for several days now and i am just finding the time to finally log on.
i've been a member of the borg for over 20 years now, been baptised for about 14 of those years and now i find myself in the most unusual of places.
