Here's another question... Why did the elder in my congregation not only have the biggest breifcase in the congregation but it also had rabbit fur all over it. That ugly piece of luggage will always haunt me...!

ahem... yes over here. Before I left I was leading the classic double life. And no one ever twigged to it either... I was living in constant guilt wondering when Jehovah would let the elders discover my multitude of sins...
ah well. guess that's another fable proved to be fake.

Let me see if I have you right here ---- you left the witnesses because they take scripture out of context but cannot think of any examples? ROTLMAO In my opinion every time they claim the FDS applies to them is going beyond what is written .
Um actually no that is not why I left the witnesses. I left them for other reasons which I have outlined in previous posts.
I would like specific scriptures to show to this person who the witnesses have twisted them or ignored the context. All I am doing is trying to stop another person being sucked in by them.

I'm sort of new at this anti witnessing caper so hoping some of you guys might help me...
He has asked me if the witnesses ever take scriptures out of context and do I have examples. I have searched JWD and found this:
Baptized servants of Jehovah who deliberately follow a wicked course and refuse to change must be viewed as unrepentant and thus unfit for Christian fellowship. (Compare 1 John 2:19.) Such individuals cannot be allowed to remain in the clean Christian congregation and thereby contaminate it. They must be expelled. The use of 1 John 2:19 is taken out of context in it's use in this paragraph. The apostle John was referring to antichrists in this verse which is a far cry from some of the reasoning used by the "loving" elders as requirements for disfellowshiping.
Could anyone else give me some more examples?

Wish me luck
by Es ini have an appointment on monday with a plastic surgeon, i have had a sunspot on my face for many years i have had it looked at before, no one was really stressed bout it.
but over the last couple of weeks its been changing shape and colour!!!!
so im booked in on monday for consultation where they will determine whether is begnin or cancerous and hopefully remove it.

Any Back or Neck Crackers Here?
by El Kabong inone of my bad habits is cracking my neck and spine.
so many times when i'm tense i move my head from side to side and hear a loud series of cracks in my neck and the tension just melts away.
same with my spine, i can twist my body a certain way and feel and hear my lower spine crack.

I love the release feeling after a good cracking.
I can crack my lowerback, shoulders, neck, knees, fingers, toes, and wait for it... earlobes... yep sometimes i give my ears a tug and 'CRACK'. I showed this talent off to a chiropacter once and he reckoned he's never seen anyone do that before... LOL
