Yes the popes cousin is living in Cooma NSW. An hour away from Canberra. She is an active JW. It made quite a stir when the pope got his position as it was around the same time as the local District Convention in Canberra. Popes cousin was in town and the Canberra Times actually interviewed her. Interesting bit of trivia.

ok not withstanding a long heated disfellowshipping thread, how can they say you are no longer a jw?.
jehovah always sees you as a witness of his, maybe a bad witness, or a sinful one, but one nonetheless.. was david not a servant of jehovahs when he made mistakes, or peter when he coward?
It comes down to mind games. The society knows a simple announcement has no impact on your standing with God/Jehovah/Jesus. But they need to scare the rank and file (r&f). If they don't make it sound as controversial as possible (and at the same time avoid a slander suit!) then the r&f will see no harm in associating with those who are no longer Jehovah's Witnesses. Imagine if we were allowed to freely liaise with JWs and what we could enlighten them to. Their numbers would drastically fall.

I did towards the end. At first I was scared the elders would confront me as to how I managed to get my average 10 hours each month when I never went to witnessing groups. But they never did. They were either to stupid to notice that I was lying or they were to interested in getting the numbers real or not.
Chances are we have walked past each other at an assembly at one time. I haven't been for about 3 - 4 years now ( I can't believe its been that long!)
We'll have to get Uncle Bruce to pop by and say hello. As far as I am aware he would be the closest person to where you are. Second would be deeksis. and then meeeee!

i've been at work since 8am yesterday morning (sunday) and it is now 230am monday morning.
i've been here all bloody day and i am exhausted.... i hate my job right now... now hopefully our management will listen to us when we say we are understaffed.. i'll probably be at work for another hour at least... and i want to go home and cuddle my hubby and my puppy... .
i could just cry... i'm so tired of all this work.
Thanks ladies.... I'm so upset with my management right now... Would you believe I work in the Public Service. These sorts of hours are not permitted either but the work had to be done.

he's 7 weeks old, he's a chocolate lab and i named him tony.
his eye isn't messed up it just looks that way because i was trying to get his face to look forward while i pushed the button all at once.
he kept me up all night last night crying, but hopefully just like with my beagle he will outgrow that.
oh Mis! how exciting... I love puppies! Did I tell you I got one. A few months ago now. She is a scruffy naughty little girl who I just adore. And so clever. If we lived near by each other we could have puppy play dates! hehehe...
