No, I would never contact that religion about anything.
Rather, I agree with VIDQUN that going to the police would be the right thing to do if it is about the serious things he mentioned. But, to add, I would go to the police about theft as well.
it's an interesting thought.
if you are an ex jw, presumably dfed, and you see a current jw in good standing engaging in behaviour that would concern their elders, would you pass on that information to interested parties?
do accusations from exes and other outsiders carry any weight?

putting this under "friends" because i couldn't figure out where to put it.
it is very often on here and in ex jw videos, ect that people like to undermine some of those who once we would have called friends.
there seems to be a view that window washers, plumbers, cleaners, construction workers are somehow less intelligent than those who may be college educated.
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH:
I see what you’re saying but you are still missing the point about why these unflattering things started to be said about these trades people in the first place.
Witnesses with these jobs/trades made it a point to demean or shun other people in the congregation with college and/or white collar employment.. They made it sound as if they were morally superior or more ‘spiritual’ than these JWs with the college degrees, etc.
It became particularly touchy when these relatively uneducated JWs were counseling people who should really have been seeing professionals instead.. So the criticism and unflattering remarks about ‘window washers/janitors’ got started. Unfortunately, the label stuck and it offends some!.. But, don’t forget Witnesses with their stupid biases started it all.
hi i want to tell my story and get advice.
i'm a single sister ( in usa) that has been baptized for 20 years.
i came from the world, so did not grow up in the truth and i have no family in the truth -- i am alone.. last year i met a brother & we did have premarital sex while we were dating.
JHINE:
Sorry to deviate from the OP. But, it’s very true what you say about the ‘propensity of JWs to lie and gloss over the true nature of much of their teachings’ to potential members.
I can truly say this happened to me! And I probably never would have gotten involved if I knew the truth about it all.. I could have saved myself anguish.. Twenty+ years later I pulled myself out of this trap by ‘Fading’.. I’m just grateful I wasn’t totally ruined by my experience with the Witnesses .. I came out of it with some OCD. But, at least I kept my job until retirement.. Maybe I should thank my non-Witness upbringing(?)
But, what does all this say about the JW religion, in general, that they cannot be honest about anything??
the apostle paul instructed christians regarding work and providing for oneself.
his bible standards and instructions are completely dismissed by everyone who's jumped on the christianity gravy-train:.
(acts 18:3) "and on account of being of the same trade he stayed at their home, and they worked, for they were tent makers by trade.
BOOGER MAN:
’Career Christian’s’ aka ‘Pioneers’ as well as all the rest of the Witnesses would not want to highlight these scriptures which are the very opposite of the way they are trained!
In fact, it would not surprise me if at some point the religion rolls out a newer version of their bible that somehow alters or deletes these scriptures that condemn them or show them up as wrong!
As I have said many times, I was criticized for having a full-time job that I refused to quit to please these busybodies! Thankfully, I never listened or I wouldn’t have retired.
I’m ‘Faded’ many years but I understand the congregations today are filled with needy people who followed this bad advice (which goes against the very scriptures).. These JWs followed ‘commands of men’ there and reached retirement age broke in a religion that has No social programs to help them!
(deuteronomy 18:20,22) “‘if any prophet presumptuously speaks a word in my name that i did not command him to speak...that prophet must die.
when the prophet speaks in the name of jehovah and the word is not fulfilled or does not come true, then jehovah did not speak that word.
the prophet spoke it presumptuously.
BOOGER MAN:
I always said I wanted to know which of these guys in the Witness religion actually had God speak to them! The actual God? The one who spoke to Moses?
They shouldn’t be bashful. I would be honored to shake his or their hands! They would be worth meeting. Anybody this special that has God speaking to them deserves to be carried on a parade float like the Pope. Seriously.
even though i'm disfellowshiped ( & i belive wrongfully so).
i still belive this is the truth.
i have been d'f for about 8 months now and working on reinstatement.
MAGNUM:
Don’t you know the definition of ‘negativity’ according to Jehovah’s Witnesses?🤣
It is talking about real life important things in the world and/or mentioning anything bad or off about the religion and the people - no matter how true or widespread. I always felt I had to do a major number on my brain and be in DENIAL about anything and everything there. It’s all about lying to yourself and suppressing things.
I couldn’t do this.. Maybe SAMCATS and other JWs can.. Well, let them.
the whitewashing of tm111 from jw history continues - tending to confirm that he was booted.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ghbhv6961a.
i'm pretty sure the cult got him to sign a nice nda - in exchange for a lifetime residency in the house bought by wt..
TXNVSUE2023:
This is a sensitive subject to many people here. I am just a spectator who ‘Faded’ from the JW religion over 22 years ago.
I don’t know if AM3 was around at the time (who cares) but I wasn’t listening anyway when the GB, circuit overseers, elders or any busybody was telling me to quit my full-time job.. If I had listened, I wouldn’t be retired today.. This isn’t just about somebody’s imperfection: it’s about faulty teachings that ruined many lives. Stop telling people they should ‘get over it’. Are you going to support them?
Unfortunately, far TOO many other JWs listened to the faulty advice the religion gave them decades ago and are now at retirement age unprepared. (See poster above).
I don’t know your age category, but you sound young-ish and don’t have the foggiest idea what other older people have gone through there!
Yeah, I’m glad I ‘dealt with it all’ by getting the hell out of the religion.
i'd like to start this post with a part from the movie 'v for vendetta'.
here in a dystopian state, the main character named v, explains why things have gone so bad ....
those who do not want us to speak.
NO-ZOMBIE:
No, I don’t think so.. Besides, don’t these people consider themselves to be the ultimate authority with unimpeachable supposedly bible-based ‘wisdom’?
TONUS OH:
I am sorry about your mom and other Witnesses who grew old (when they were told they wouldn’t). They waited for promises that were never fulfilled. Some of these older JWs might have lived a happy life in spite of waiting.. Maybe they had a good social life and lived comfortably.
But, other older JWs did not. Maybe they gave up decent jobs/careers and pioneered, never planning for retirement. They paid no attention to the clock on the wall as it was ticking away.
It is the ultimate sunk cost and your mom and others might not want to leave now.. This is why I am so glad I Faded’ over two decades ago!
1 tim 5:8 says if you don't take care of your own and especially your own household, you are worse than an unbeliever.
i was scanning throught the shepard the flock book and found some questions that would create an "out" or excuse not to support .
1 question is , does his wife have material resources affording a secure life so the family isn't destitute?
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH:
I am sorry to read about what your mom went through having the burden of seven children with no man supporting them!
Having never read their Shepherd the Flock book, I was surprised by what you posted. It does definitively look as though there are ‘loopholes’ in favor of the man. These look to excuse him from his responsibility of being the provider of the family. To me, this all goes ‘beyond what is written’.
As someone who was not raised a Witness, I was appalled at the attitude against secular work that some JWs had. In reading some of the history of their religion, I wondered if this attitude might stem from the Depression era (when nobody had jobs) in rural places in Pennsylvania. The brothers rode bikes in farming communities and witnessed to people and they may have bartered (got eggs, etc.)
This must have been a pleasant and peaceful experience riding bikes down a country lane with not too many cares in the world.. But, times changed in the following decades and the world is the difficult place we see today! But, certain JWs (bethel writing committee) obstinately cling to this old mentality and this attitude got passed on to some in the congregations who imagine they are going to get handouts because they are ‘pioneering’.🙄

TXNVSUE2023:
Welcome to the forum. I agree with a lot of the posts here.
With regard to somebody ‘committing immorality’ before marriage and then confessing later, you are not the first. I’m sure there were others that I suspected but they didn’t get disfellowshipped. I think it all has to do with the body of elders. This is unfair to you. I also believe it’s ridiculous since you did get married.
Nobody can stop you if you want to go back, but what others have said is true: they will have a bias against you. Sadly, because there is No confidentiality in the JW religion, some people in the congregation will know all about your intimate personal business!
