That's a good question and I’d like to think so.
Some years back I read an awful story in reverse. As the story goes: a JW missionary in a very rural backwards area of the world (don’t remember where) supposedly had his missionary friend or partner die… Don’t remember the details if he couldn’t get any money or assistance, etc. But he ended up having to personally cremate his friend out in the field or wherever. 😮 When I read this missionary horror story it impressed upon me the insanity of it all.
Because the religion is so secretive and JWs are reluctant to even talk about their bad experiences in Bethel - stories like this one would hardly be known about. So, who knows about somebody having to come home for the death of a parent?
