Sorry to come on so strong but I wasn’t directing it at you. This topic makes my blood boil.
While there are those on here who wonder if this for CSA cases, I don’t care what they want the free legal help for. It’s the principle of the thing that the religion unashamedly knocked people who got college/careers.
Worse yet, hateful attitudes and class distinctions were evident in the congregations because of this. The only ‘good JWs’ were in the cleaning or window washing business. If you had college or white collar job that was ‘bad’. These cleaners were partly responsible for the bad attitudes (this is why I don’t feel sorry at the cliche jokes about cleaners that some get offended by).
I saw this and experienced condemnation and not being invited because I wouldn’t quit my job. Even though I’m glad I never caved in to the pressure - I can never forgive the religion for their hypocrisy!
