Was it worth meeting with the judicial committee?
by 24k infor those of you who met with a judicial committee and were subsequently da'd or df'd, was it worth the time and effort?
did the elders let you speak your piece, or were they only interested in hearing that key word or phrase that would allow them to act?
was there genuine interest shown, proboing questions asked, did they really want to know how you felt?

I never did that when I get disfellowshipped! Is that a requirement? I just heard from my mother ,during the time it happened, that they announced my disfellowshipping at the hall ,no meeting, no nothing.

For the women: Clothes shopping right before the memorial
by catchthis ini have noticed now and in the past that most, if not all sisters, go clothes shopping right before the memorial.
they make it out to be this huge deal.
almost to the point where if they do not get that new dress from nordstroms, they won't be able to be seen at the memorial.

I always balked at how the young women acted. I would notice that the assemblies were like a mating call! The young girls were wearing spaghetti straps and above the knee outfits (even some of the more "prominent" families daughters!) and flirting with all the boys, like they were in high school. It was all such a joke to me. I got counseled on wearing an ankle-length skirt that had a slit up to the knee one time, and that was very tame compared to what the prominent and highly regarded girls were wearing!I just never got it. Don't think I ever will.
