  We have a new Spiritual Barometer

  the "friends" have a new barometer by which we can judge each other's level of spirituality.. yes, the use of facebook.. have you edited your friends list yet?

  i think if we look closely at our theocratic facebook friend's comments, photos, and social events, we will be able to judge whether or not they are good association.

  the big plus here is that we will be able to see just how theocratic they are for comparison purposes.. a lot of "read between the lines" comments made at the latest district convention has the "friends" in a real tizzy.

  the lack of intellectually stimulating material within the jw religion right now is astounding.

  there is clearly a lack of spiritually dense material and a surplus of ridiculous, childish babble.

  the regular "food" that jws are being fed is illustratively equivalent to pureed baby food.

  you can disassociate without even knowing it...very rare!

  this works well for elders who are cowards and want you out but dont really have a dfing offense to hang on you...even if you make no statement written or oral that you no longer want to be a jw they can say you quit jw.

  they can say that some actions of yours indicated to them that you have disassociated yourself and when that happens they are not even required to tell you there is a committee formed...so there is no reason to tell you a letter is going to be read and so you have no two week period to challenge their decision...but they do not even have to tell you why they reached the decision that something you did that made them conclude you have disassociated yourself.

  in fifty years i have never even known anyone who disassociated themselves...and have never even heard of anyone disassociating themselves without even knowing it!!!!

  Seems like years ago, you had to write a letter of disassociation, and it was because you wanted to leave, or felt you no longer belonged. I think it has morphed some.

  as you may know, the watchtower society takes great pride in its district conventions.

  please contact me if you can attend any of these protests.. there is no reason why every district convention in the world could not have a protest and receive media coverage to expose the watchtower society.

  The Governing Body has NEVER claimed to be inspired…

  there was a recent thread here which covered the subject of the gb claiming to be spirit directed (and not actually inspired by the holy spirit).

  by now, most of us are quite aware that this is just a play with words to excuse themselves whenever one of their false doctrines is debunked (by someone using the bible or their own publications).

  but when you think of it, spirit-directed is actually more presumptuous than spirit-inspired.. that being said, id really like to draw attention to the fact that the wt continuously claims that the governing body of jehovahs witnesses has never claimed to be inspired by god (through his holy spirit).

  It's not their fault. The "Society" has kept them in such a hyper-prepared state (for the end), for so long, that they are having more and more difficulty in making sense of it all. These types of statements are the outward expression of their frustration and humiliation.

  this has already been discussed but i need to vent.. i just spent the most painful weekend of my life sitting thru this years dc.

  what an unbelievably pointless, soulless and demeaning spectacle the assemblies are.

  the three days were a blur of monotanous droning and brainwashing.
