by Lehaa inthis is a heads up to those friends who haven't experienced it yet, and an explanation to those friends and family who have.

Mothers Spit and Bandaids
by Lehaa injust had a kid come in needing a bandaid, just made me think of a friends comments the other day.
she reckons that all we need in the world is mothers spit and bandaids.
mothers spit cleans absolutely anything, and bandaids fix any ailment that a child can come up with.

did they ATTEMPT to save you
by tijkmo inwhen you were before a judicial commitee for whatever reason...did they try to get you to see the error of your ways and thus save you from destruction at the big a...or were they just happy to let you die.. .
i have a theory that goes like this...if you are sorry they think that you are not and df you...if you are not sorry they make an attempt to try and save you because its a kind of feather in their cap.. .
i was sorry...so sorry i thought i deserved to be df...and said that i expected to be..and they later told me i said i wanted to be df...which i didnt..(i was a mental and emotional wreck on the night of the jc although i tried to portray otherwise)....but even if i had, surely they had some responsibiity to try and 'readjust' me.. .

Giving your life for a Brother or Sister, would you have done it?
by JH inoften, we hear that jw's would give their life for a brother or sister anywhere in the world.
the more i know jw's, the more i say, "heck no"!
since jw's believe in the resurrection, why bother?

The most condescending thing said to you by the (sm)elders.
by diamondblue1974 ini wasnt the most academic of children although i had some capability but i could read quite well by the time i was 4 years old at least for my age; i have always read as a child and still read now as an adult both professionally (research) and for pleasure.
i have always been able to write too...and pretty much advanced as well as my peers did in school...perhaps i am lucky, i certainly feel like i am when illiteracy amongst adults and children is rife at present...however.. i remember when i was 16 the wts in the uk were pushing through a scheme teaching those who were not as able to read and write...and an elder in the hall made a point of coming to me and suggesting that i should actually attend the training!!
!....i explained that i could read and write well enough and didnt need to be taught basic literacy... he said that i might learn something new and should respect jehovahs order of things and show appreciation...i did decline his kind offer rather abruptly....but wtf??

i really cant believe what these guys did to you......and by that i dont mean i dont believe..to talk to ANYONE in this fashion is bad enough..whatever their circumstances background religion mental capacity skills..i wouldnt even speak to a child that way (and even that sounds slightly condescending).. i can honestly say that i cannot think of any time when i would have treated someone so demeaningly.. ....but if i did then i apologize unreservedly..but to treat members of the 'true' religion that is supposed to be noted for its love amongst itself....well words fail me
i cant help but think of the cartoon----wacky races----the objective was not to win the race so much as it was to stop everyone else by putting obstacles in their way...thats what is happening in wts...jws liken their situation to running a race but rather than helping one another they just keep putting obstacles in front of their own brothers...if i still believed in a god of justice i couldnt see him being at all pleased about this
and the most condescending (not to mention life-threatening) thing said to me:- when the jc refused to accept that i was repentant instead believing lies and slander and making sure i had no opportunity to counteract it aswell as continuing to cut off all possible means of support i went to them to tell them that their actions were making me suicidal...the chairmans response..and i quote..."well other people seem to manage"
