  why did the WT disassociate themselves within days of this news breaking?

  and why join in the first place..

  regardless of the motives - the question of whether they had to show support - the need for a signature or not - you would have thought that at some point in the proceedings jehovah would have influenced them (as they say he does) by saying something along the lines of 'hold up a sec guys this is going to backfire bigtime.'

  and why would they join to use a library or to keep up with the u.n.'s movements on the basis of keeping everyone informed when if jehovah everyone to know he would reveal it to them anyway

  Lowly publishers can now attend international conventions

  i don't know if this has been posted yet but my mom told me that there was a letter from crooklyn that publishers can now attend international conventions.

  before only the pioneers, elders, etc could attend.

  she said that there was a tremendous amount of excitement among the publishers that they now have the "privilege" of attending.

  international conventions have never not been open to publishers

  but since 'good standing' credentials apply and there is limited availability and they are costly, these places are usually taken by elders, ms - or someone in the cong may pay for a pioneer to attend.

  i remember applying as an ms and both my wife and i pioneering and being told we weren't in good standing.

  Dialysis help...

  hey everybody..it's been a while since i've had a chance to post.

  hope all is okay.... some of you may or may not remember from my earlier post that i had breast cancer last year and went through chemo.

  well, my kidneys have been slowly failing since i was 17 and they got worse a few months after i had my son.

  my sis is on dialysis...a nicer person you couldn't meet ...and like you she has had kidney problems since she was about 17...that kinda sucks to say the least...(which is why i wrote a song called kidney machine)

  she has one in her own home and goes on it 3 times a week. she can also get treatment while on holiday by booking in advance at a hospital where she is vacationing.

  sounds like you have had a rough time..hope this improves your quality of life.

  i don't know if this is a worldwide thing because i didn't go the meeting where the arrangement was announced, but it's being done in my congregation anyway.

  during those 6 months the member assigned to the pioneer is meant to make time to work with the pioneer as much as possible, so they can strengthen each other.

  the idea is meant to be that eventually each member of the congregation will get a go.

  cos even if you are you are still allowed to go to both.

  the jw thinking on weddings is that others in the cong may choose not to go if you are df-ed and attend..but the fact is most don't care cos it's a party..they prolly will just ignore you for the evening but don't for one minute think that they won't enjoy themselves..

  but if you are not baptised then none of this applies anyway

  get her to ask the elder for the wt info he is basing his decision on.

  if she decides to invite you and he says he wont officiate then get someone else to
