  Schoolyard bully mentality

  i'm not naming names, but i just want to encourage people on here or on reddit or twitter, and tell you that you do not have to tolerate people who act like schoolyard bullies in the way they speak to you online.

  i think anonymity is a big part of it.

  they feel like there is zero accountability so they can be a bully all they want.. i recommend just ignoring or blocking anyone who is verbally abusive or treats you like schoolyard bullies treated you.. life is way too short to spend any time dealing with those kinds of people..

  so this weekend there was a part about not following jesus at a distance.

  the speaker made a big point of stating that any baptized jw male who was not either appointed ms/elder, or at the very least "reaching out" actively, was in fact following jesus at a distance.

  he said that the only way to live through the big a was to follow jesus closely.

  Best Argument for Atheism - In your view.

  if crisis of conscience is one of the top watchtower doctrine killers, what is the coc of theism?.

  i'd like to read a book, or other material that does the best job logically arguing for atheism.. i've not read any darwin, however it is my assumption that his focus is primarily on evolution, is this correct?

  if you were to recommend one book or a few pieces of reading material, which do the best job of defending atheism, what would they be?.

  Though not as specific towards theism, Cosmos by Carl Sagan was my personal fav with respect to thought provoking meanderings. The guy had a reasoned way with words and conveyed a wondrous vision of reality.

  Of course, the problem of evil itself rests a solid case against a loving god.

  This doesn't rule out all possibilities.

  Yea, funny thing, age

  Used to be Hendrix, Clapton, Beck and Page were king, among others

  These days I don't remember the last CD I had to have or bought even.

  I think the last guitarist I got into was Elliott Smith about 10 yrs or so ago, back when I was still drinking heavily and savoring the sweet pain of it all. So tragically hip, man. LMAO

  There's so much talent and music out there, a virtual rainbow of musical moods and soundscapes. The discovery of it is half the fun.

  The flat earth conspiracy!

  ok. let me first start by saying i am not a flat earther.

  i like most on here will have the same view most will have here about our planet.

  in saying that however, i am incredibly gob smacked by the book written by eric dubay called 'the flat earth conspiracy'.

  I recall seeing a video years ago that examined the assertions of the Flat Earth Society. I recall their ideas seemed rather odd and contrary to reason and evidence. I most recall the flat earth woman who wandered off to find the edge of the world in the wasteland of Antarctica, alone. She was never seen again.

  She most certainly found the edge but the earth isn't flat.
