i've never found dualism - the idea that the mind and the brain are two different substances with the mind being "immaterial" or "non-material" - a valid manner in which to address consciousness or any mysteries relating to it.
to show the reasons why i think it's bad metaphysics i'll use analogous reasoning to make a case for my newly made up "mystic essence".. for hundreds of years scientists have studied plants and animals all across the world.
but they still can't explain where ecosystems come from.

The idea that "nothing exists except matter" does not itself consist of matter.
Therefore materialism is self-refuting.

the so-called 10 commandments are a post-biblical construct.... there is an elohist list at exodus 20 and a yahwist one at exodus 34 that contains such gems as "you shall not cook a kid in its mother’s milk.".
any intelligent adult could create a more useful list of ethical precepts before the end of a coffee break.. it is interesting to compare the satanic temple's seven tenets.

just wanted to know if any one has any idea's or personal experience in regard to drug and alcohol abuse in former jw's.
all the one's i know have just lost the plot when it comes drugs and alcohol, especially drug use.
I don't abuse drugs. In fact, I take very good care of them.

i downloaded windows 10 and it wiped out my emails and the email account... oh joy.. i have since removed the 10. arrgh!
I switched to Win10 over Christmas and haven't had any issues. In fact, I rather like the new GUI; seems they kept the best elements of Win7 and 8.1. Microsoft's browser, Edge, still blows though
Since i use Gmail, Outlook and Office365 web mail, local email client issues are no thing. As mentioned, a local email client is almost unnecessary nowadays and more a risk for viruses than anything it would seem
I installed full version onto a new SSD so upgrade issues weren't a problem; I've got everything backed up to externals anyways. I usually take the thing apart for cleaning and reformat system drive once a year anyways. Just cos ima nerd, yo
