there is also a bonobo ape male that has also shown abilities similar and one of these two (can't remember which) is teaching other apes.

Would this ape's name be Caesar, by chance?

now the majority of people nowadays do no go by the hope of old times.

now the reason for this is important and goes beyond mere words.

our culture sees ethics especially national or civil politics as the rules and standards by which we guide ourselves.

Once saw a documentary on animal intelligence where dolphins and crows had the highest brain to body mass ratios, next to primates. The problem solving skills of crows was fascinating actually; who would've thunk it...

Biological and environmental factors aside, I've little doubt that other species could develop higher intelligence, given enough evolutionary time
