  i don't know how many have taken the myers briggs personality test?

  my wife told me i was a esfj, whatever that means!.

  do you think people not getting along, poster's differences, or war, or values, etc.

  Do you think people not getting along, poster's differences, or war, or values, etc. are partially due to personality differences? Does God take personality into consideration of judgement on us?

  Partialy due, yes. Beliefs, background, current situations, etc are also at play on the small scale. Wars and other effects of nationialism are a different beast.

  As for God's judgement, can't help you there. There's enough of it in this world as it is ;-).

  BTW INTJ/P myself. (I just wasn't content with one category, lol)

  where we live is a very *new agey*, *earthy* area.

  when i was a witness i never thought twice about my astrological sign or how it relates to anyone else.

  here, people are always asking what my sign is and i've really been entertained by how i see patterns with people in my life and how i've noticed i'm actually attracted to certain *signs* .

  virgo on the cusp of leo; have been told i have traits of each

  I explored astrology and a little wicca/shamanism shortly after leaving the dubs (dated a witch for a spell,...:-). It was strangely attractive at the time when i was in need of meaning and direction. Had my chart done in some detail at the time. It's true if you believe it is IMO. Like a lot of things,......:-)

  i just picked up this sci-fi movie from the groovie 70's and watched it.

  i remember that it kind of disturbed me when i was a kid.

  it was about a closed society that automatically kills everyone at age 30, so they can be replaced by a new baby.

  Sounds vaguely familiar for that timeframe.

  If she wants to go bald or get ink, so what? I applaud her decision to do something radical. It kinda says she isn't afraid to be different or do what she wants.

  Of course, there's the media hype angle for someone in her position. I don't know to what extent this played a part in the decision.

  When "friends" let you down...

  have you ever been in a position where you really needed your friends - ie a relationship break down, or some other event and expected your friends to rally and support you.

  only to find that those friends are nowhere to be seen or heard and when you tentatively enquire how they are in the hope for some kind response you get - "oh well you'll get over it.

  " or words to that effect and by email.. i have as you can guess a reason and recent experience of my own that i'll share later, but i wondered how do you handle that?

  well even my closest friends have let me down at times when I thought they would be there for me. I guess, sadly, I've learned to lower my expectations and realize that if i am going to get through something, the only person I can count on to get me through it is me..

  Don't get me wrong, I will still hope they are there for me... but... at least my expecations aren't so high...

  Agreed. You really find out who is who when it comes down to the tough times. Most are fair weather friends. Some "friends" can be two faced and while seeming to support you to your face, will turn around and mock you behind your back. Some regard it as sport with slings and arrows. Others would rather not listen or deal with what your particular issues are, even though you may listen to theirs. Fair enough; this is a two way street. As was said, the only one you can really count on is yourself. And I'm ok with that; high expectations of others can set you up for a fall. Take what you can get and be happy with it. Yadda yadda,....

  I can count on one hand the number of true friends I have and have fingers left over. And like them, I'm not infallible and sensitive at all times but at some level they are there for me in dire straits as I am for them.
