Evidently, this may be considered a fact.

does the wt always carefully phrase sentences so as to never take blame?
by sowhatnow inim recalling a time when i sat and circled words in a watchtower article, indicating strongly the fact that it is in fact the writters opinion.. however just the suggestion in the sentence these words are ignored.. for example.
it is our understanding.
we believe this to be the case.

I don't click on jw.orgy links, I won't give them my hits so they can brag.
Lordy...
As for the new 9300°K light and direction on web enabled devices, it seems a "may as well join 'em" strategy. Which is brilliant from a purely corporate first world viewpoint and rather sad from a human perspective. Not surprisingly, adapt or die.

DINOSAURS - What do Jehovah's Witnesses Believe?
by Bloody Hotdogs! inas part of my deconversion catharsis, i have been building a(nother) website to highlight some of the more ridiculous jw beliefs.
im a looong way from done, but i wanted some early feedback on one article: dinosaurs.

The other alternative is that maybe a skeleton was found / exposed / recorded earlier and it's based on that.
I think such is the basis for many legends about dragons and "monsters" in cultural folklore, embellished with word of mouth storytelling.

Actually, come to think of it, it was photos from Peter Mayhew's private cache, not David Prowse's. My bad. Cool stuff tho

I always like reading darth vaders comments on facebook
Not familiar with his written work. I did follow God for awhile; he was amusing but not as much as Satan, who had a flair for satire. Both are still liked now and then.
With respect to the OP, it is a shame that the actor behind Wedge Antilles chose to opt out of the latest. It would've been very cool but alas, not to be.
Maybe there'll be a cantina scene with some vaguely familiar if not more wizened denizens, sitting in darker corners perhaps, drinking the same drinks, wearing larger bandoliers. The same band is playing but the tempo is slower and they're more lounge jazz now. The lead clarinetsynth left the group over creative differences and was replaced by a whiz kid from Anchorhead. The bartender was assaulted by a drunken Sebulba over a tab dispute and now has a limp and a steel jaw. Droids are now served due to changes in societal values and equality.

You have got to be kidding. J.J. Abrams have wrecked Star Trek beyond repaid.
Good. Star Trek had run it's course, was tired and boring and needed (another) reinvention.

I have to agree with The Empire Strikes Back being the high water mark. After that it was downhill where it could've been so much better.
Still, I'm a huge fan and look forward to the new movie with anticipation. JJ Abrams did well with Star Trek, I suspect he'll do the same with this

Science Stoppers
by Coded Logic ina science stopper is " a hypothesis that makes no testable or useful predictions and therefore prevents any science from being performed based on that hypothesis.
" a common example of this would be the claim that god(s) created our universe.
having no way of telling "created" universes apart from "non-created" universes prevents the claim from ever being verified or from being debunked.

More and more theories become testable, and are refined because
the test equipment becomes more sophisticated, or
better questions were derived from previous tests.
Correct. Also, more and more theories are rejected for the same reasons.
who is to say such questions pertaining to "origins" will not come from research into the unknown?
Much that was unknown is now known due to scientific method and observable facts; we now know more than ever about our origins and the universe because of it.
Perhaps one day we will unlock the secret of our origin, and will no longer need the idea of a creator or mystery therein.
rejecting the idea of an creator might turn out to be "not even to be wrong" too.. In the meantime
Is it not a valid topic contemplating, debating?
Rejecting a creator is correct until such time as clear and irrefutable evidence proves it wrong. Everyone seems to have their own take on it, which only proves people have an opinion.
Contemplating such is as valid as speculating the number of leprechauns there are.
Debating it in scientific terms has always been and continues to be foolish. Assuming one can speak in scientific terms that is
