JWs and Dairy Products
by Mysterious inwe were reading in my health sciences class about how there are regulations governing how many white blood cells are allowable in milk, given that dairy does in fact contain some white blood cells (which are a primary blood component not a fraction) i am surprised they have never banned dairy.
(though i realize the blood policy has taken a few hits in recent years anyway).
anyone know if they have stock in any major dairy companies or a reason they aren't using this as an opportunity to take even more control of people's lives?

by cr1234 inmy brother in law wants to know::: if jw's don't have the truth then where do you go to worship?
if i had something better then he would follow?
i know i have heard this before from jw's but couldn't find the thread to answer him correctly.

Worship?, All you do at the Kingdom hall is sit there, you can do that anywhere. the only thing that comes close to worship at the Kingdom hall is the singing and nothing else. you can do that anywhere.
Fellowship, that's what he's really looking for, and a need to belong to something bigger than him-self, Join a gym!

my name is, mike warren... that's my real age in my profile...& yes that's my real pic.
though i was never baptized, i was raised in the silly religion... my parents started their study in early 1974 (at least i got 1birthday &1 christmas, not that i remember...) mom was baptized in less than a year after she started her study... it took my father about 7-8 more years to give up smoking, but he still made all the meetings & ruled with a leather belt.. i also have a younger sister that has faded (she got baptized).

jws are always quoting matthew 24:14 to support their preaching efforts and push their member for more hours (where in the bible is that anyway?).

From the research I've done on "Nazarene Essene's" They did not believe in a ransom sacrafice, or any animal sacrafices for that matter.
The Nazareian essene's taught the "Way" to Salvation, yes a lifestyle, but not just any lifestyle either.
They didn't teach like Paul did, to just call on the name of the lord and you will be saved.
No Jesus the "Nazarene" taught there was a narrow path, few on it, diffitcult to traverse, a bit differant than Paul's teaching.The Nazarene's taught that we all have the ability to become exactly what Jesus became, "Christlike" and that's what Jesus was teaching, that if we follow in his foot-steps we can become Christ's ourselves or "Christlike" the word "Christ" means "Anointed" or "Anointed One".

the above book is full of wrong dates.
i can remember studying that one.. it was studied at least twice at the book studies because the gb body said to study it again since new information had come to light and the book needed to be studied again.

OMG, there is a God, her name is "jgnat", I've been looking for that scripture for ever (Mark 9:38-40)
Was trying to show there were others teaching the "Way" to salvation, and were seperate from Jesus, Thanks!One thing that scripture doesn't say (Matt 24:14) is that the good news is to be preached to every person, no it says every nation, whole earth, whole world.
The question is what was the good news? It's not what the churches or JW's teach.
Jesus taught something called the "Way" which was a way of living, a "Way" of life.
What you need to determine is, what was that 'Way" ?
My suggestion is to look at the "Nag Hammadi" text which reveals quite abit of information about Jesus and what he taught.
Look up information on the "Nazarene Essenes" that's what Jesus was. ( Acts 24:5 "We have found this man to be a troublemaker, stirring up riots among the Jews all over the world. He is a ringleader of the Nazarene sect)
I would start my search there.As far as reporting hours, that's just a way the WTS controls the rank & file, you don't put enough hours you are made to feel guilty It's always do more, do more

I wonder how many people have to be killed before we call it a holocaust.
Yeah 6 million Jews were murdered, but did anyone remember the other 8-9 milliom people who were murderd with them?Yeah, there's a man going around saying/teaching the holocaust didn't happen, so what! Does he preach violence? You know it's funny in this country (USA) our history books denigh (don't mention) all sorts of acts like the holocaust, (against native American's) And you don't hear to much about that.
So, what do you call a person who lies (WMD) to get people to back him in murdering thousands of innocent woman and children? In this country we call him "Mr.President".
I don't know, I think peoples priorities are screwed up. Why don't we go after those who are lying and killing today?
One man goes to jail for denighing people were murdered in the holocaust.
Another man lies, and thousands are killed/murdered, and he gets a pat on the back, That's Sick!
History will repeat it's self... What kind of people are we?

this leads to understanding and concern.
