  i have finally sent my official disassociation letter to the local kh.

  now i no longer have to keep watch for a car pulling up in front of my house on saturdays.

  An Elder Told Me.... Many To Be Disfellowshipped Soon...

  an elder told me the book is jehovah's latest provision to cleanse his organization.. he said soon all people that have drifted, inactives, and others baptized and not complying with the biblical mandates for a jw, will be visited and given an option to shape up or ship out.. he said that if the person refuses the help offered by the congregation they'll be notified of the date of disfellowshipping and given time to appeal the decision.. he was so happy stating that this way jehovah's organization was preparing for the final clean-up before armageddon.

  he sounded so convincing that it almost made perfect sense what he was saying.

  i got goose bumps listening to his reasoning.. dy

  i've stumbled upon this site, while reading many articles after giving up trying to find out what time the memorial is.

  though after reading allot over the last little while.

  i am not too concerned about the memorial either anymore.

  Twyla is not one that will ever leave the organization. not strong enough. She moved to Calgary, probly because nothing was working in Surrey. Twyla's best friend, carmen? charylnn? or something like that moved down to Calgary as well. The names you mentioned definately ring a bell. :) Hi Moanzy - nice to meet you too!!

  a friend gave me permission to post this.

  i think it's a good letter, it might help others formulate their thoughts; she understands it may not be read or considered deeply, but things can't get much worse with her family at this point anyway.

  no contact is not that much different than contact once per year or less, and sometimes it's just really important to have the people who should know you, at least know you a little.

  This was an incredible letter. Read it twice over. Nodding to everything you wrote. because I've either experienced/ or felt the same things. I am so thank-ful to have stumbled onto this site. I made the choice on my own, yet there are times I still feel guilt, tremendous guilt. If there is a god, then his purpose was for me to know the truth, and led me here. I feel like crying.

  orbison11 - Danielle is my aunt. so yeah I know her. They dont speak with me any longer though, and as far as im aware her daughter moved to Calgary.

  I've stumbled upon this site, while reading many articles after giving up trying to find out what time the memorial is. Though After reading allot over the last little while. I am not too concerned about the memorial either anymore. A little about myself. My name is David, a nd like mentioned above I was born and raised in

  It was like most others I imagine, where the interest in the religion slowly departed. But unsure of what to do, I kept at it. Sorta. I eventually moved out of province to start a new life. Though I was never fully set in my ways. It was until only a few years back that it came to me. An epiphany of sorts. It just made sense. And so taking my new found mind set. I wrote my folks a letter. Roughly about 10pages, putting everything in my head on paper. Sent it out. Asking to be disassociated for the organization.

  It was/still is a rough road. But I stand by my choices more so now than ever. It?s hard to not be able to speak with my family. I love them dearly. However I would no longer stand for living a life I do not agree with, only to make other people happy. I am surrounded my ?worldly? people, that to this day. Baffle my mind as to how caring they are, and how quickly they embraced me within their group. Made me wonder even more.

  Brief summary. As Ive seen some of the posts here. J

  I am confused however as to what this community is about? I see posts on people going to meetings, and those opposed, and don?t/haven?t for years.

  Could someone shed some light on this community, and what its all about??
