Maybe i'm just simple minded but: is there a possibility that the child died for other reasons not caused by God's hand and Jehovah allowed it to happen because David needed to reep what he sowed. Children die everyday for all sorts of reasons. Birth defects etc...I don't believe the child died by God's hand but rather God knew that the child would die (perhaps from other causes) and he just let David know that his child would die.

whenever i'm discussing a hot topic with a friend i will defend my opinion to the end, then when the conversation is over i always say "what do you think?" then the other person says " i told you what i thought about it" then i'll say "no really what do you think?"

i think for many that went, it demystified the whole organization and you saw firsthand that there wasn't holy spirit influencing anything - only the muses of sheltered, out-of-touch old men and political bureaucrats.
i work in the corporate world and i saw just as much if not more politics in bethel.

A friend of mine came home from bethel (don't know the reason why) but he stated that there was alot racial stuff going on there as well. I just dismissed it and changed the conversation being that i was still loyal to the whole "Bethel Ideal" i also know of brothers who got kicked out for having hip hop music.
another friend was asked to change her hair color (it was light brown) so she had to dye it black. I thought that was so crazy because she had worn that hair color pretty much her whole adult life and it matched her complexion
when i visited Bethel i wasnt as impressed as i thought i would be. The people werent friendly as i thought they would be. I asked a brother if i could take his picture while he was working packing books and he said "no" he seemed like he was real irritated with the people coming through touring. maybe he felt like a zoo animal.

When i go shopping, i pick up everything that i like, even if i can't afford it, then as i work my way to the cashierm i start eliminating items. by the time i get to the front i have one or two items left out of 20 or more.

We had just bought a car from this guy at my ex-hub job..and he had a rainbow flag on the bumper, so we were out in field service preaching in an all gay community. we didnt know that they had a special flag, anyway this guy starts coming on to my hubby and he got offended and got in the car to leave... so the guy yells out "you preach against homosexuals yet you have the flag on your car what kind of idiot are you"

Last night i was with my hubby and we was visiting some friends and my old boyfriend was there and he starting flirting so my hubby said: "stop looking at my woman like that" it was all in good fun, we all laughed about it, but i would have rather him notice the behavior and say something than to act as if it didnt matter to him at all.
when he looks at an attractive woman it doesnt bother me as long as it doesnt go beyond that....
