  Can you be disfellowshipped for taking a yoga class?

  i was just wondering since i've started taking a yoga class.

  not that i would mind being df'd but not ready to lose the family.

  i lost my wt library cd so i don't have access to the society's stand on yoga.

  So the FDS has said reading the Awake magazines for 4 years would be the same education you would get in college. So....
  how many of you would let me operate on you by reading 10 years worth of Awake's? I'm a neurologist by the way.

  Isn't it just plain bizarre that a topic like this is even being discussed. What religion other than the Dubs would give 2 seconds thought to this. "Yoga class?, Good for you!" I believe is what any other religious leader would say.
  
  But I do remember the "clearing your mind" thing. Demons would move in. But, um I heard a part on the DA that Satan and his demons couldn't read your mind or your heart. Clear your mind of all the B.S. and you might just see what a load a crap you have in there.
  
  Young People Ask "Is Pilates for Me?" - I mean come on! The dubs don't want their drones to think for themselves. They want to tell each and everyone what is right / wrong / and up to your conscience... Meaning .... wrong but we can't show you where in the bible to back that up. But if your conscience says it is ok, you just must be weak minded spiritually and we won't DF you, but you won't be getting any priveleges either.

  you had to continuously question yourself about possibly offending another (weak) christian's conscience.....were you always worried that you were going to get into trouble because you might've screwed up somehow??.

  Well I'm sure as he keeps devleoping he'll probably get a bit more shy. But you want him to be uninhibited by body image. Body image is important, but also you want to make sure to keep the line of communication open regarding what's going on with his body. I heard about "blowjobs" and what not on the playground in elementary school, and became sexually active at 13. Looking back, I can't imagine that now.
  
  While he will still get sexual info from his peers. You would like him to approach you and hubby too. Because you would be floored at the "peer info" that goes around. The "she can't get pregnant if it's the first time" is always frightening to me. I volunteer at a free clinic once a month and see all sorts of crazy young sexually active teens coming in with inaccurate information. Of course this Bush Administration is not helping by only talking about abstinence only. UGH!!! But that's another topic.
  
  But it sounds like you are doing a great job so far. Keep up the good work. We are shaped by our experience. To this day I don't like my spouse to eat at the table without his shirt on. I was always to be fully clothed at the dinner table. It sounds idiotic but it's some of those early formative things that stick with ya...

  Do not be stretching as to your bodies as this is an abomination to Jehoba.
  
  So while it's not a DF'ing matter... I wouldn't voluntarily tell anyone I was doing it, cause some narrow minded, judgmental, a** will no doubt make an issue of it. Just say you went to the gym.

  The book is FICTIONAL. And the author says it's fictional.
  
  It's like watching an Oliver Stone movie. He weaves in enough of the truth to make it seem real, yet lots of conspiracy theory to make it entertaining. The sad thing is, most American's history lessons are so poor, people walk out his movies thinking that's what really happened.

  it seems to me that while there are many issues that we could address regarding the watchtower bible and tract society/governing body/congregation of jehovah's witnesses, there is one that stands out as uniquely given to ease of communication.

  i would like to take this opportunity to state which issue and why, then invite open commentary.. the issue of the watchtower bible and tract society attaching itself to the un/dpi.. while i readily agree that this is minor in importance compared to matters like child molestation and failed prophecy, i see this as the easiest to bring up, the easiest to substantiate, and the easiest to demonstrate long-term gross error in.

  Makes me wish I had kept all my copies of bound volumes and what not so I could go back and accumulate all this. But seriously, I am gathering the materials I need to write about the witnesses in my own book.
