***the system is by far being abused. This week I was out on the road seeing some clients and had to drive through a dingy estate as a short cut; you could see all these jobless wonders sat outside their house on some dodgy sofa that had been out there for months with a nice dirty cup of coffee or even a beer, while their inbred kids run around their semblence of a garden/jungle which has not seen a lawnmower for three years whilst dressed in dirty disposable nappy.
See with good statistics like this who needs government studies. Screw that save some more of my WASTED tax dollars. I say we know spade when we see one!
**Twice someone has reported her for benefit fraud but nothing has ever come of it.
Sound like you are mad that they didn't take your report seriously. With family like you who needs enemies.
Ok, enough carping about the old. It's those little demon vermin, runny nosed bastards running around causing us problems. We need to compete with China for manufacturing. How else can we compete? So let these little rat, turded lazy dolts work in the mill. We need a little time to seperate the chaff from the wheat....so I say we put them to work at 6. If they don't show their genius by then...well tough tomatoes. The world is a cruel place, they might as well learn that early. It's off to the mill or to the polo grounds. By putting 90% of the runts to work think of all the savings we would have shutting down those schools.
We'll make all the old school teachers manage the brats in the mines, mills, and sweatshops. For anybody who has an "accident" at work and becomes disabled....same think for the homeless....one way Chunnel ticket to France. That or they can be melted down. Their choice.
Also I miss the days of gruel. It really was a fun, festive, non-artery clogging food. Give the brats gruel. Government supplied....after all we're not heartless bastards. Just "slightly" bigotted.

Is it time to demollish the welfare state in the UK
by Gill init's an unfortunate fact that the uk is gradually slip sliding away in the ranks of great achieving countries.. our tennis players aspire to greatness but slip at the last, and often first hurdle.
our national health service though catering to all, is no where near the quality it should be.
i can vouch for that fact from last weekends experience, having to call an emergency doctor out to see my son, he missed totally what was wrong with him.

F*** the poor. Turn the old churches into bars and nightclubs. Or trendy flats would be cool too.
Give all the homeless a one way Chunnel ride to France. -

Should the Governing Body Have Yearly Mental Fitness Check Up By A Qualifie
by frankiespeakin in.
.
should the governing body have yearly mental fitness check up by a qualified pychologist to make sure they are not mentally ill since they have such an important work as stated in the 4/15 p. 29 watchtower: thus the governing body can spend more time in preparing spiritual food and in otherwise caring for the spiritual needs of the worldwide brotherhood.1/15, pages 29, 31.. if they have such an important work as this,, one would think it mandatory that they have a check up at least once a year, that's not to much to ask is it?

Zagor are you flirting with me ;)
Most Dub's feel doctors don't know shite. And they would be "Satan's pawns" anyway. So a doctor would be dismissed out of hand. -

Old bastards....now there's the problem.
They lounge all day long watching TV shows like Touched by an Angel sitting on their fat butts.
Lamenting about what the Jones next door are doing. Their kvetching adds Co2 to the enviroment thereby exacerbating global warming.
They call the police endlessly for every little slow moving car driving thru the neighborhood thereby driving up police costs.
All the do is get sick and go to the doctor. They run up the cost of health care FOR EVERYONE.
They collect their Social Security checks from the government....FREELOADERS!!! What happened to the good ole' days where you dropped dead on your job. Them were the days!
All they do is gossip and cause problems in the neighborhood.
They demand community art projects and other "free" recreational opportunities. Those are MY tax dollars at work.
They cause too many car accidents because they can't drive very well, thus driving up my premiums.
They barricade themselves into Waco, TX like fortresses and call them "retirement villages". These "villages" get reduced property tax rates. That's lunacy.
I don't want to hear you complain about how long you worked and how many hour per week...blah, blah, blah......What have you done for me LATELY?
So I say we euthanize everyone at 62. -

Now that you are out, do you have a WANDERING EYE?
by zagor inafter many years of repression do you now find hard to restrain you natural feelings?
it doesnt have to be wrong as one cousin told me, you admire beauty of the sunset, the song of birds; you appreciate exotic meal and equally you can now more appreciate the natural beauty of opposite sex.
reason why im asking is because today ive met a dub from my former congdubgration who immediately assumed i was "immoral".

There's nothing wrong with looking. I didn't realize when you got in a relationship you needed to turn into a eunch / priest. He assumed you were "immoral". As I've ranted on other threads most of the self righteous jag bags in the KH would tell me "if I was worldly I'd be sleeping with a different girl everynight".
I'd think in the back of my mind hmmm......a window washing, small town, fat, uncultured, uneducated, judgemental boob....yeah right go ahead and try. I'm sure the females will be falling from the sky like mana for your dumb, hick ass.
Of course they got a "mental woody" because look at how righteous they were....look what they were by-passing for Jehoba. -

Good points Nark...
Most people have no idea about the male temple prostitutes or pedastry in Roman culture. Both going on during the bible writing times. My point is maybe it isn't "so black and white" as most say. In that case we should fall back on Jesus main command to love one another.
Scot...it's an on-going issue w/ my parents. Slowly prying open the steal jaws grasp of the WTBS. My dad has been shocked most of all I think. When he quotes a scripture and I then can talk to him for over an hour on that one scripture on what other bible scholars have said on it. He realizes he only has the WTBS "safe answer" to fall back on. No grey area...no room for movement. -

Thanks Del...your points are dead on.
Happy....it's a tough balancing act. Since I've been posting on JWD.com I've had 3 gay guys PM me or email me saying they appreciate my candor and if it wasn't for my posts they probably wouldn't have started posting themselves. I honestly don't give two shites about the bible. I think it's a bunch of hooey. But as you may have read from my posts....I have had to do some research very recently because my parents decided to finally corner me on the whole "gay thing". Since they are active JW's I have to battle them on their turf so to speak. They won't listen to "doctors" or "mental professionals" so I have to use the tool they will listen to. Much as other gay posters have been made to feel bad for years because of the bible.
Since I haven't had to refute the bible nor cared to....I haven't done much research into it. Only in the past few months have I really started looking into it. Just like reading up about CofC and the Dub's. When I left I was like "oh well, not my thing". But I didn't know how many lies the whole foundation was built on. I have told folks here on the board more about my personal life than most of my work associates know. I mean for crying out loud you know I'm married, have an open relationship, how many guys both Dub's and non-Dub's I've slept with, and what I went thru growing up. I dare say I've been about as open as one can be on a public board. And I have taken a fair number of hits for it. Snide comments and nasty PM's along the way. Well so be it.
As another poster brought up...why do so many threads turn into "gay threads". It's because so many people here have been damaged by the Dub's and don't realize the true intent of Jesus. Dub's are so very judgemental. My goal with this thread is to challenge that thought process just a little bit. Open the door to their brain to show them what the bible really says. When I left the Dub's I challenged everything. I found "my" way. I hope that others can too.
But what can seem to you like "shoving it down your throat" is what straight culture does to gay culture EVERY day. It'll be a glorious day when no one notices two men kissing, two women kissing, or man and woman kissing as any different or react differently than any other group. We will simply look at it as two people in love. I promise you..... I'm not about to go back to the KH for salvation....LOL.
EvilForce gets off soapbox and truly IS going to bed now. Make sense Happy??? -

Class...I'm not being serious...I just get tired of the bible being used as a blunt weapon, when most folks have no idea as to how disputed various texts really are. If the bible was supposed to be a clear rule book, it is anything but. As far as Christians being forced just makes me know that Christianity really isn't the answer for me. But I will answer your questions more in-depth tomorrow...it's off to bed for me. Later skater :)

**Do you think it is logical to believe that back in theocratic Israel, 2 people had a "loving same-sex relationship" in the manner in which you are thinking/implying?
I'm not twisting scripture at all. These are various quotes and interpretations from biblical scholars. One is a Catholic priest...the other a hebrew scholar with a PhD. What I post is an alternative, no less valid the the "off the shelf" version that has been presented to the public.
In Greece and Rome there were many same sex relationships. There is an entire book on how Jonathan loved David that I have studied. So yes I think it quite likely frankly. The books I have listed are very specific and in-depth. I can only quote what they say and what makes sense to me. If you truly disbelieve that's ok...or maybe you want to read their works to refute. I'm not here to force you one way or the other. -

Thanks for the info....I'll take a look at it. I'm not a biblical scholar but have read most of the books I listed. The Lot story really never made sense to me either. The JW's were masters at saying...no that doesn't apply today...nope neither does that...but that does...so does that...etc...etc. All books have to be taken in context of the happenings of the day. What were the issues of the day when Paul was writing? He was writing while a subject of Roman society. And of course the bible was written in an ancient, dead language. Look at Shakespearen english. That's only a few hundred years old yet still in our own langauge and we need to spend time dissecting it to figure out "WTF was he talking about".
One has to conclude...if it was really that important why didn't Jesus say anything about it?
