I've been to Hiroshima as well. Quite horrific visiting the Peace Museum Exhibits. Hopefully we will never use nukes ever again.

i got a job!!!

i've been on 'disability' for a while, and i hate it.

it's so hard to make ends meet, and to feel like less of a person because you are not 'working'.. .

Disability is just stupid. Why use that term? Ok, maybe you can't work 50 hours a week at doing something society calls "useful"?
Hmm...so many things that are considered useful...junk mail, telemarketing, reflexology, pet pychics, etc.... LOL.

Sometimes it just feels plain good to do a job "well done" admire your work and enjoy it. Pushing paper usually doesn't bring that same joy eh?

have examined the remarkable similarity to the mount st. helen's canyon that was carved our very quickly?

I love a good debate over a beer. Even better I like taking the highly handicapped side and debate my way clear. I would think I could learn much from AlanF. Of course after an hour or two we'd debate our way into current events, sports, and other inane silly things after 6 (or more) beers.

my sister and i were talking, and she is interested in buddhism (h or no h?

i have seen it both ways).. anyhoo...i am looking up some temples in the area.

i told her she should visit one if she is interested and do some reading.

No Terry...you rely on your intellect too much IMHO. As Ayn Rand proved....just because you may be an intellectual giant does not mean you are a well adjusted, happy, human being. You've been burned by the Dubs and won't allow yourself to suspend your doubts for a mere moment to consider other paths. As I've said...I'm not trying to demean you. But in your posts you have indicated your struggle in achieving happiness. I'm just pointing out something I see. That's all.

Terry I used to be like you thinking eastern religion was circular b.s. But after I dug into it, well it made alot more sense. You don't understand it...fine so be it. I honestly think if you'd spend time throwing off your preconceived notions you'd might find some applicable info. But as I said before...to each their own.

Jay Dubs and the Illuminati?

i've seen a few things here and there that seem to connect the two, which i find.. very disconcerting.

for those who don't know, the illuminati, if they exist (which is highly questionable), are a secret organization behind a lot of world events and politics.

supposedly, they run everything behind the scene, like the wizard of oz or something.

Sorry but I have found AlanF to be both funny and quite in-depth when it comes to his posts. Does he demean the other poster? Possibly but it's part of the delivery. Much like George Carlin. I'd bet you'd get along fine with him if you were having a beer.

any sites to learn about their various levels.. hate to sound like an uneducated person, but i really have no clue as to what they believe, growing up a jw, why would i care.. but they are in the news so much the last few weeks, time to learn what this bunch believes in !!.
