MegaDude I agree with you. But how can the US be pushing for new tactical nukes both in design and deployment and still tell everyone else not to build nukes??? How hypocritical! We have almost 10,000 strategic nukes and we want to build new tactical nukes....but you can't have any ____________. (Fill in the blank...Iran...N. Korea....Pakistan...etc)

Confused....you are a little confused about Japan. We were not entirely "innocent" before Japan attacked in WWII. We were using our power to cut off their supply of oil and also running quasi blockades. To insist somehow the US govt. was completely "innocent" in her wartime activities is a little hypocritical. The US knew it was being aggressive towards Japan yet somehow was "shocked" at the outcome. The outcome allowed Roosevelt to overcome anti-war resistance in the US. A invocation of war by Japan brought Germany automatically into the war as well. Roosevelt got the war he was itching for.

9/11 tapes - horror revisited
by Shakita inas they release the 9/11 tapes for all of us to renew the horror of that day again, i feel my anxiety level raise almost as much as it did that very day.
i watched the face of the man i worked for stare in disbelief as he came rushing into the room to watch in absolute horror as the trade centers fell one after the other killing his close friend inside.
as he collapsed on the couch, i knew i would never forget the look on his face for the rest of my life.

No...it wasn't "close" to the store but they were proposing paving over the pyramid with the endless sea of asphalt that stretchs for miles beyond their "double wide" entrance doors that they call a parking lot.
Around 200 shoppers queued for hours to be the first to enter the store, which is half a mile from the ancient Mexican pyramids at Teotihuacan.
"People need the well-being of their families more than culture," said one.
Environmental groups had argued that the store was too close to the ruins and would erode the local way of life.
While the Wal-Mart store was overflowing with shoppers on its opening day, a handful of local opponents kept a vigil outside the 2,000-year-old Teotihuacan pyramids.
They pledged to continue a protest that has drawn international attention and prompted a national debate. -
