Slow Fade Progresses
by TheListener ini wanted to give everyone an update on the current state of my slow fade.
i live in an environment that is hostile to the slow fade so i usually speak in general terms.
this time i plan to give just a little bit more information so i can heal myself as i go through this process.. i have doubted for several years (about 3).

The Listener,
Your desire to fade..is it being selfish?!?
Who will not allow you to simply stop coming to meetings? It's the borg FORCING you into a particular action to maintain some sort of family life. If you had the option to simply say "Brothers I want to take some time for myself and family to study God's word on my own" you would....but they won't allow that. God said "That is why a young man will leave his father and mother..." Your family is the most important thing God has put YOU in charge of.
If the Dubs can say they need to mislead governments from time to time to protect the flock and call it Theocratic Warfare... can't you as head of your family?
Besides at some point you may want to discuss these things further with the elders...who knows? But show me where God / Jesus has provided that you have to choose between your family and an Earthly organization. How many exhortations did Jesus give us regarding ourselves, our families, and our neighbors? Weigh that against how many exhortations he gave us regarding an organization. -

JT, I agree with you and understand your frustrations. I reread my post and realized I may have sounded a bit critical of you and for that I apologize. It was not my intent, since most of us poor slobs are just trying to get by, raise a family, and have a safe, quiet place to call home. But what I posted is correct. Given the history of this administration, look for no relief there. GW's old oil buddies and OPEC buddies are all happy and laughing their way to the bank. So settle in for the long haul for high energy prices.

A comment I heard tonight
by Generic Man intonight i heard one of the most cruel and twisted comments i've ever heard at the platform.
the topic was the apocalypse and whether or not children will be slaughtered.
through one side of his mouth, the po stated that the bible is not clear on the matter, while out the other side he pointed to all those old testament accounts where children were killed.

For anyone trying to reason with Schizm....
I clicked on his profile and reviewed his post history and various postings. Please take a moment of your time to review these posts and judge for yourselves if continued debate is likely to produce any answers, biblical support, or honest exchange. -

Yes, I'm sure she feels like she is the oppressed one! Why aren't YOU respecting HER religious views? She can't for 2 seconds put herself outside of her own 2 shoes and realize what an idiot she is being. No doubt she has that smug, arrogant attitute of most JW's. He brought it on himself, why should I have to deal with it? Circular logic....
My brother-in-law (elder) recently flat out asked my brother (inactive for 6 1/2 years) about something out of the clear blue that was none of his biz and when my brother responded truthfully my brother-in-law had the nerve to say "You've put me in a bad situation.... I can't have you coming around my family knowing that now". Fu**ing retard!!! -

Mary,
I don't know how you possibly put up with that crap. I think if I actually went to a meeting I'd end up answering at the Watchtower saying what I thought. Of course this assumes that I wouldn't be kicked out during the public talk when I would snicker, laugh, and make comments to myself under my breathe. LOL. -

Are Kingdom Halls ever used for AA Meetings?
by TresHappy ini found this article online and thought it quite interesting.
i always thought kh's were used for kh business only.... the weekend shooting death of harvey county sheriff's deputy kurt ford could lead to murder charges today against a newton man.. several of those who know greg moore said his life began deteriorating several years ago after he stopped attending alcoholics anonymous meetings in the jehovah's witnesses kingdom hall just up the street from his house.. "he drank a lot -- i know that," said doug foulk, who lives in the neighborhood and worked with moore at excel industries in hesston for several years in the 1990s.
"he'd been in trouble with the cops quite a bit.".

I remember when my grandmother got checked into rehab, there were some snide comments.... From the brothers no less!!!....Egad, No!
But they didn't get her in trouble for that. She had to sit through their reproof session for being a drunkard.
It reminds me of their approach to depression in the early 90's....don't take mind altering drugs...just go to meetings that'll cure ya!
The borg remain transfixed 30 years behind the times. You will be ASSimilated. Reasoning is futile. -

I think they look happy together good for them.
Since I wouldn't want thousands of outsiders looking at my personal relationship with my mate I'll give them the same respect I'd expect.
Having said that...... did you see what she was wearing?!? OMG....
LOL , just kidding.
