Defd ....
I'd like to know what the "official answer" is regarding this. I have no idea.
I do know what I BELIEVE to be the reason they do not put it up. But was curious as to the official version. Let me know if you find out.
Thanks! :)

It may say that in one sentance and then proceed to say "But would a wise Christian jeopardize his standing with God by associating with a non-believer?"
Also, one sentance in one magazine does not constitute a change in thinking. It's when all the books, talks, and assemblies are put together that make the JW doctrine what it is.
You know full well that "worldly" people are NOT good associations for JW's as per the WTBS. Most of us have spent decades hearing first hand what having "worldly" associates means. -

Forget the 10 Commandments Follow the book of Tao instead....
by EvilForce inas another thread rages on and on over whether we'd be better off following the 10 commandments i would posit that we would be better off following the tao te ching (the holy book for taoists) rather than the bible or 10 commandments.

The ruling class was basically a corrupt, impotent, inept monarchy government that allowed the Taiping Rebellion to form. The Taiping Rebellion marked the emergence of China as a country among other countries, rather than the only nation under Heaven. "To the Taipings, the Ch'ing dynasty was a challenge to be met and overthrown. The Manchus were "demons fighting against the true God"". (From The Search for Modern Day China page 172)
The Taipings were hybrid Christians fighting against the govt. to overthrow it.
Satanus...hope this helps....but this specific rebellion and it's ramifications probably merit a semester study at university as the implications are so vast and complicated. -

****** I am more than willing to correspond with and teach those who actually want to learn. I will not waste time on those who do not.
You mean preach at not teach......see to teach you must also be ready to learn. I doubt you are.
I will not waste my time???? Glad Jesus didn't feel that same way preaching to harlots and tax collectors.

Green...would that be all the religious leaders that instructed their flock that if they didnt' vote for Georgie W they would be bloodguilty or kicked out of the church.
Search on "Taoist Wars" or "Buddhist Wars" and you might have your answers regarding which religion is more violent ;) -

I don't have any first hand experience with it but a buddy of mine used it and the windscreen came out "ok".....it had circular buffing marks in direct sunshine or streetlights at night gave it a weird halo.....but then again maybe he didn't do it right. But 90% of the time it looked fine. Not sure if that helped at all.....take the rat's advice...try it on someone else's car first. LOL

I got my Taoist feet wet with Tao of Pooh and Te of Piglet...great books!
The funny thing is that even true Taoists wouldn't prescribe that the whole world follow the Tao. Accepting the world for what it is, is what the Tao teaches. JT and my thoughts are very similar...slightly different. -

Maybe we ought to scrap the warlike, tribal bible and try something else? I say the book of Tao. (Arguing that the Buddhists writings should be followed instead would be ok too.) For those of you unaware of Taoist writings you may go to: http://www.taoteching.org for more info.
