.................to be standing on the other side of the door on a saturday morning.. it happened today.
i had gone to the markets early and when i got home i wandered across the road to my neighbour's house to have my hair coloured.
she's a frustrated hairdresser and a friend.. as usual we chatted as she prepares the colour.
Sister: "Well that was a surprise, and wouldn't you think she could have asked us in for a drink?"
Brother: "I'm glad we decided to mark her in our minds after all."
Sister: Thinking: 'She looks fabulous, I'm sure she's lost weight,' "She looked so pale and gaunt, like she's missing a deep part of herself"
Brother: "Best not to dwell on it. I need new orthotics, how my back hurts. What are you making for dinner?"

do you find it difficult to choose a major?
Has anyone found it difficult to read and form opinions? Having been raised a Witness, studying publications where each paragraph is written for a specific answer and the questions are provided for you. I still find it difficult to read critically. I tend to agree with the author without really forming my own opinion which is a challenge when you have to write about what you have read...just curious.
I usually find it difficult to agree with the reading now, because I'm so skeptical about everything these days.

Hiya! I pioneered my college days away, but am fixing that by having just started a business degree, and I'm going to major in economics. I have a strong interest in international aid, and can get part-sponsorship on some of the management-type units. I'm studying via an open university system where you can get a degree from a regular uni studying by distance. I'm part-time at the moment, working at a pace that would take six years if I stuck at it, but if I amp it up every few months I can get it down to three or four.
I have found it absolutely liberating to tap into my critical thinking ability, and it's exciting to be learning new research methods and finding enormous online libraries.
I'm just finishing my first unit and have been getting high distinctions on the assessments, so I'm pretty pleased with it all.
Also if anyone is on Facebook, we should be "college friends."I don't know what that is, but it sounds neat!
i thought i would let you know that my dad, passed away a little while ago, tonight, january 23. they called me at 6pm to tell me.
he had been failing rapidly for the past month, and had completely lost his hearing and was totally blind.
the dementia was extreme too, and he still knew me on thursday, but didn't wake up to know me in the following days.
