Interesting-Account Servant uses his own $ to pay bills

about a month ago we were invited to an old friend from our old congregation to attend a bonfire.

this was before we finally started telling people were weren't going to meetings.

at any rate, my husband was talking to the guy who took over the accounts when my husband left and he was saying that donations have dwindled significantly.

it f*cks me off that this happened only a few years ago but no one in my office has yet to even mention it.

it was such a pivotal event:.

i was driving from fontana to chino in california dressed in service clothes.

Had just gone to bed for the night - first time I'd been to bed before 11pm in years, and mum called to tell me that Armageddon had started. I told her she's crazy, hung up and found out about it in the morning.

Maybe it's DDT, and maybe there's an ancient Awake that talks about the side-effects of DDT spraying. Maybe it doesn't mention that death rate from DDT poisoning is far less than death rate from malaria, so the health authorities have accepted the risk.

offers to study after going inactive!!

i just recieved my third offer to have a bible study after being inactive for several years.

hello,, i remember where the kh is if i wanted to attend and i think after five meetings a week my whole life i know what the teachings are without having another "study".

i just found it very degrading and arrogant to assume that there must be something "wrong with me" or that i "needed help".

As you're trying to fade away without anybody noticing, when something like that happens you have to be respectful, grateful, kind, warm, and very gently turn the offer down. "That's very kind of you brother, but I'm finding things a little tough lately and need to just rely on Jehovah to build my strength", etc. You don't want to ring any alarm bells with anybody.

Dfed and Damned for Life

i have posted my story on here before.

i was dfed at 22 for sleeping with an 18yr old girl in my cong.

i was married and me and my "mistress" were both dfed.. i admit i was wrong by even the worlds standards.

I tried to get reinstated for only a few months and it nearly killed me, I don't know how you both have survived. Also since I now don't know why I ever wanted to go back I can't really help you out with anything. All I can say is, sorry bro, that really sucks. I hope that you work it out either way.

What exactly can I get disfellowshipped for?

my husband and i have been inactive for almost 8 months.

we haven't gone to a meeting and slowly our jw friends have stopped associating with us because we're "weak".

at some point, we'll be celebrating holidays.

It's going to depend on who gets a bee in their bonnet, and what your mum does. If she decides not to make a big deal of things it will be okay. You've got to be kind, gentle, respectful etc, while getting her to respect your new choices.
