Yup, all fiction. So lemme get this straight...I do my best for someone, and it's not good enough and I still go to hell. And the point of worshipping someone like that would be...what? You're not doing a very good job of explaining yourself. If I was God, I'd be really disappointed that you're turning so many people off from wanting to worship him.

I'm sure someday I'll get to a point where I'm at peace, no matter what I try to believe, but for now I am so angry at religion, at God, at intolerance, at everything. I get very distressed when people preach by words, ie, "I'm right because I say so!" instead of showing by actions what a truly spiritual person should be like. That's what I want to be spiritual. It doesn't necessarily have to be Christian. But I want to have...harmony...I want to feel like I've done something positive on behalf of others. That's all I really want in the end.

Thank you jaffa. We've all had our own personal demons to deal with. I'm not saying I won't ever believe in something in the future. But right now, I feel so disillusioned by religion and God, that I just can't believe right now. Maybe something will change and something will happen. But now, I just need to learn to trust myself.

Again, for those who do not believe in the Bible, or think it nothing other than fiction or mythology, your scriptures have no merit. Just like someone reading from Lord of the Rings knows that it's fiction. Just because someone wants to believe so strongly doesn't necessarily make it so. I don't know what I believe yet but I do know this: No one will get me to believe anything by cramming it down my throat, or saying, "You'll burn in hell if you don't believe!" If God is that hateful to punish me eternally because of the suffering I've been through, this person who's supposed to know it all, then I don't want any part of him anyway.

Your whole manner of preaching is infuriating. Perhaps you should think about the abusive way you yourself are speaking to others. You should show some respect for people whose beliefs differ from yours.
