  Are You or Were You Ever On Meds For Depression?

  i know so many people, not just witnesses that are on zoloft or similar drugs.

  i know of some that, once they left the "truth", stopped taking these meds and have not had to go back on them.

  i know of some that, if they did not have them, would not be able to properly function......what about you?

  I have noticed a lot of JWs on antidepressants where I lived including some of my relatives who are still active and on antidepressants. I have never taken antidepressants but if I would have stayed active I know I would have eventually needed them though.

  I guess you can say I was a prude but I was no more judgemental than the rest of the cong I went to; I always had the feeling I was being judged for some reason; I had a very sensitive conscious.

  Would you change your past if you could?

  i used to live with many regrets, thinking that i'd screwed up.

  recently, i've been thinking that regretting past actions is not constructive.

  sure, we should base our current actions by assessing the results of our former actions, but regretting decisions we've made is, in effect, yearning to change the person we are now or rejecting ourselves.

  hearing about the child molester in glasgow who has been charged but not disfellowshipped did cause me to think a little;.

  as an apostate you can be shunned without the need for a jc meeting irrespective of the fact that you might be repentent (not if you have any sense though); however the child molester mentioned hasnt been disfellowshipped!!?

  ?...if this is true doesnt it clearly highlight the wts f**cked up sense of morals?.

  I always thought that in order to sin against the holy spirit you had to have the holy spirit and didn't the WTS preach that the "great crowd" only had the holy spirit indirectly or none at all and only the "annoited" had the holy spirit and therefore we could not really committ the unforgivable sin and die without a ressurrection? If that wasn't true would me be given a more harsher judgement than that of Adam and Eve? Just trying to use their logic

  No, despite the fact that it was hard to do what was expected of you, practically walk on water and never do enough preparing for the meetings, going to meetings and going out in service all the time and still not feeling you did enough; but one day after leaving the hall one Sunday after a meeting I just decided in my head that I had enough and couldn't stand any more.
