Apostates commit the unforgivable sin and will NOT be resurrected.
by gumby ini posted this on another thread....but as usual, when i posted it, the thread died and so i thought i'd put it under a different subject as it's worth re-reading.. the society has always said nobody is the judge who commits the dreaded...."unforgivable sin", but they sure the hell do not having any trouble making a statement concerning apostates as commiting the unforgivable sin.. 1982 watchtower 4/1 p.26-28 .
" jesus told the unrepentant scribes and pharisees that they and their gentile proselytes were subjects for gehenna or, literally, sons of gehenna.
(matthew 23:15, 33-35; see also john 9:39-41; 15:22-24.

I thought the only unforgivable sin was sinning against the holy spirit and since most of us are not "annointed" how could we ever do that; we are not worthy; loophole here

Shun Rich Food to remain celibate
by Fatfreek ini've been away for a long time and wonder if the society still advises young folks to avoid rich food when they're going to be with someone of the opposite sex.
i suppose if you're on a date you'd want to order salad and skip the pizza.. is that what is advocated today?
if so, is there any scientific basis to it?

dropped wife off at convention this morn...
by tetrapod.sapien ini just got back home from dropping my wife off at the convention this morning.
i took the day off of work so i could celebrate the occasion of freedom from mass-delusional-cult-think-programming.
out on the porch, sun shinning, birds chirping, scotch in one hand, demon haunted world in the other.. as i was driving my wife to the convention grounds, she thanked me for all the help i had provided her in getting ready for the convention, and for driving her.

Sorry to be getting off the topic of this thread, but if you didn't have a badge they would probably ask to see your blood card which I dont have either of and I'm sure there would be somebody who would recognize me as even though I wouldn't want them to see me let alone endorse my presence.
Back when I was active I never really seen any protesters outside the convention but I guess I just never looked.

At last finished reading Crisis of Conscience
by diamondblue1974 in.
and what an eye opener it was...dont get me wrong i faded some 10 years ago and the reasons for such were contained in the book, i.e 1914, failed prophecies and so forth.. the expose is disarming by its objective style and whilst i now read any literature through sceptical eyes i could see a person genuinely grieved by what had taken place and the crisis he was subjected to conscientiously; it said it all to me when he said that his aim was not to divert people from the jws but give them support so they could develop as christians and therefore allow them to come to their own conclusions (or words to that effect).. extremely well written and consise with reams of references (which i happen to love).. anyone that is recently out must read this book...it objective, honest and was totally surprising in parts.. db74

I only read 140 pages of C of C and I already knew some of the issues it covered but some of the other issues it brought up really surprised me and the evidence is irrefuttable. The doublespeak, hiding of facts, deception, outright lies, history of false teachings, arrogance and egos of some of the men in higher ranks in the organization through history, it's all there. I can't see how anybody can look at the org the same way after reading even that much of it.
