Confidential Body of Elder Letters from 1981 through 2006
by Elsewhere inhere it is guys.
this is what darth frosty was talking about in his post the other day (http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/149460/1.ashx).
this is a collection of confidential letters from the watchtower society that were sent to the bodies of elders in the years 1981 through 2006. these are the letters that you were never meant to see or read.. there's all sorts of information in them ranging from the boring and mundian to instructions about how to handle child molesters.. many thanks to darth frosty and others (who i'm not sure can be named) who worked very hard and took risks to collect and scan the information.

Check out Marianne Faithfull's version of As Tears Go By. She released it a year before The Stones released their version of it. I like their version better.

I could not find any evidence supporting the statement that Rutherford studied psychology. Not that I would not be surprised.
He was a lawyer so it would stand to reason that he would study psychology at least as an undergraduate or in law school. A skillful lawyer knows how certain language effects someone's thinking and memory recall when cross examining somebody on the witness stand in court. All you would have to do is find his university transcript if it still exists to see if he studied psychology. If he didn't study it formally he may have researched psychiatrist's and psychologist's latest research material back then.

Vote for your favorite "celebrated JW scholar"!!
by onacruse innow, there are so many from which to choose...where is one to start?.
well, since i'm an old-timer, i must by default cast my vote for clayton j. woodworth, that inspired author and editor of the golden age who single-handedly warned the world about the dangers of aluminum cookware and vaccinations, among so many other things.. only once in a generation comes along a man with such inspired insights as to baffle the minds of mere ordinary humans..

honorable mention to the writer of "Your Will Be Done On Earth" on the insight of cosmic rays on page 322 paragraph 25: 25 Studies have been made of the effect of cosmic rays on living cells in animal bodies, particularly with respect to disorders of the mind . What effect do they have or will they have on the way men behave here on earth? Certainly the Creator of cosmic rays, Jehovah God, could use these to affect the minds of his enemies, including the king of the north and the king of the south, and could drive them to mutual slaughter : "every man's sword shall be against his brother ." (Ezekiel 38 : 21, AS) In this prophecy God warns that he will also use other natural forces that are at his disposal, possibly a rain of anti-matter that has the property of annihilating any material thing that it meets . He warns all scoffers that he will do an unusual work.'-Isaiah 28 :21.
