we've just got back from out holidays after travelling with 2 young kids for 24+ hours and logged on to see the same old people complaining about the same old things with the same worn out arguments.. the topics seem to be along the lines of:posters should be allowed to say anything they want.we want absolute free speech and seem to be under the mistaken illusion that the usa has it.there is mass moderation happening on this forum and censorship is rife.

... and so on.. all of these claims are utter crap as far as i am concerned.. now, i am not going to put up with people trying to stir things up and interfere with the majority of posters who want to use this forum properly and see me and moderation as the main topic of conversation.. keep harping on and you will be deleted.

Would you condone abortion?

today i questioned my mother about the fact that she told me ?

yrs ago how she lost 2 kids through a miscarriage but then later told me she aborted them,well i didnt know what to say, but then later questioned her about this i asked her why she did it, she told me that she was already bringing up me and my sister and financialy impossible to look after two more kids,well i didnt agree with that reason or any reason to kill the unborn she then said she wasnt in the truth then "huh what difference does that make".

then she gave an illustration of reasons when you should condone abortion and it goes like this, if you were raped and later found out you were pregnant what would you do she seemed to say she would abort it,i said i wouldnt if that happened to my wife i said i would probably end up having it adopted,after all its better than murder.. how has this affected my familys view on abortion i wonder, well i have 5 sisters and 1 more brother,and already my brother in cold blood made his girlfriend abort hers due to the inconvienience,and also my older sister had hers aborted 2 yrs ago because the father didnt want to know with out a hint of regret,so im now starting to see a pattern in my family,whos to blame them or my mother as a role model.. so to cut a long story short do you think killing an unborn child is murder,would you do it under certain scenarios.

Just because someone never agrees on something doesnt make it right,think about what would you think if your parents told you they didnt want kids and wish they would have "aborted you",i mean cmon dont you apreciate your life, i think not by the sound of some of you, and its nothing to do with the fact that we were fed hogfood at meetings.

Maybe some of you are just plain selfish and should have been aborted,and you have the cheek to critisise jw,s

Trust governing body and no one else?

what prompted me to post this was that i was inspired by sleepys last post when he said are you a black sheep in your family now,i got to say that i suppose i am,but what really gets to me is that they trust 11 old men in brooklyn who they never have met and even bet there life on them,but when you or me who are family try to advise them they just class your opinion as void or untrustworthy,what a load of c@ap.. i wonder why they trust these old men so much,maybe all the so called superior wisdom impresses them,or maybe because i am young and inexperienced (not),they just see me as someone who is lesser or lacking in wisdom or grey hair lol.

theres got to be quite a few here who, like me are the only onbe to turn "apostate" in their family.. although you know you've done the right thing, all your family think either you have been mislead by satan or you have turned evil.. how do you feel around your family,and do you wonder what they think of you?

Well i think i am in a way if you compare me to those who were serious about being a jw in my family,i am the black sheep because even though iv tried to explain about the understandings of the jws,my mum and family still beleive it (DDUUUHHH).You be better off speaking to a wall,"why wont they listen to me" even using scriptures to back up my views they just seem to see me as ungodly or apostate rather than a helper, but at the sametime trust 12 old men they have never met and listen to every bit of Cr@p they shovel out. I dont get it!!!!!!!!

My mums off to the assembly,is your missus going or are you gonna go if you are let me know on here,you see the trouble is sleepy if we go people like you said will say to themselves see they know its the truth look there coming back "yeah right",maybe we should just stay away, i mean cmon think how glad all your x-mates will be to see you (not)

But saying that it would be a right laugh going for a few hours,just like the old times,what you gonna do?

Do you still read societys literature?

i still got my insight books,bible,song book,revelation book,isiahia book,some tracts,awakes @watchtowers.

i did throw a lot of my magz away but still got these,what shall i do keep them,sell them to second hand book store,give to charity shop,or read them all again and brainwash myself with jw ideology.

How to build a time machine?

first you need some anti-matter,if you can get enough of this in one place you should be able open a hole in space.

then 2 uncharged metal plates.

separate them in space to create a vacuum.

This then creates the casimir effect(net attraction between the 2 uncharged plates)

Then magnify the casimir effect to create a crude time machine

Think a wormhole could connect 2 sets of casimir plates,plates would have to be displaced in space and you then use it as a warp drive system,or if plates were displaced in time then a time machine

if then someone could fall between one set of plates he could be transported to the other set of plates

I suppose you may ask would it be phyisically stable

Im glad to hear all your opinions on the matter of abortion,i basically just wanted to know how the public really view this subject even if it may have been discussed before, and i believe its not a subject that is old fashioned since when has murder been fashionable anyway i would like to mention some of the good points brought out so far in this thread i found interesting:

1.pregnancy can be prevented after the sex act

2.fertile cell potential for consciousness,soul,sential,etc

3.if you had aborted me i wouldnt have been born

4.commision an objective study on the fetus to see if it posses true stream of conciousness

5.severe regret after abortion.
