in all seriousness, i would like to know from anybody in this forum if anybody on here had ever experienced such an "annointing".
even though i do not believe in the tower and its teachings for a couple of years now, i would always question the supposed "feelings" an "annointed" person was suupposed to have.
in light of younger people claiming to be of this "annointed class" in recent years, i question their motive and all of those that were older which were most likely "annointed'".. thanks

i was watching cnn yesterday when they were talking about the supreme court ruling.
there was a "counsel" that was representing the jw's and he was explaining what the ruling meant for the borg and all citizens of this country.
then he went on saying something that just blows my mind and has always bothered me when i used to be an active dub.

Then he went on saying something that just blows my mind and has always bothered me when I used to be an active dub. He mentioned something to the effect that if it wasn't for the Watchtower we wouldnt have freedom of speech as we know it today. When he mentioned this people from the audience just started laughing and I just rolled my eyes in disbelief. This kind of thinking is insane due to the fact that the Watchtower thinks way too highly of themselves and unfortunately this is very common in the rank and file.
I still remember as a kid my parents and family mentioning haw the Borg was this and that and how they had the best this and that and I bought into it thinking that we were all that. For example I still remember when the borg set up some software or hardware in the 70's or 80's, I cant remember, that was supposed to help them in their printing of books and how nobody had ever come up with such technology. They even printed a couple of stories in their mags. Now that i'm no longer in it I realize that it was self promotion at it's best and how many dubs just buy into this.
Well, just a thought.

yesterday, the presiding overseer (elder h) read the letter from the christian congregation of jehovahs witnesses (us branch) regarding their policy on child abuse.
all scriptures were also looked up and read.. elder h is a very prepared brother.
he is a gilead graduate and served as a missionary for about 7 years in kenya before coming home because of illness.

Thanks to all the support from all you guys and gals. It seems that I'm not the only one out there that feels that I was scammed by all these man-made laws. Sometimes I just think to myself and say "What the fuck was I thinking, doing all this bullshit year after year and not even checking any background work on these people checking to see if they are right" Well that's a cosequence of fear of asking because the allmighty GB condones apostasy.

Hang in there because I can promise you that these people are very serious with what they believe not knowing they are alienating their own "blood relatives". As far as your relative making fun of the preacher, well that's a consequence of religion bashing in the JW's meeting after meeting after meeting....well you get my point.

This is my first ever posting on any web forum so please excuse the shortness or scattered ideas. I was raised as a witness for around 25 yrs. since I was 5 yrs. old, so I know how this damn PR machine works.(WTS) For the most part I thought I had the "truth" up until I started out in the real world as a contributing member of society, that is get married, get a job and pay the bills. All the BS that was fed to me since I was a kid started to crumble down when the so called 1914 generation prophecy was shot to hell and their stand on higher education had changed. I started to really feel that I had thrown my life away being a goody-goody because I started to see that things are not the way they are according to the WTS. For example not everyone out there is evil, you are not going to be a bad person by getting a higher education, there are far worse people in this religion than in others, and so on and so on. One thing that really bothers me now is that I have blood relatives that will go as far as to not even say hi to me since I've left. This to me is mind control at it's best and I just feel sorry for them for being so blind in following human ideas rather than Christ's.
Well this is it for now, I feel much better getting this off my chest since it really bothers me.
