I gave the last part at Service Meeting before the C.O. got up and announced me being removed after he set down I asked for song and asked a brother that I knew the Body would never allow to say prayer, this was very full filling to give them one last jabb.

To our JW friends, are we too spiritual minded for wife-swapping?
by ithinkisee inso the other night there was a wedding shower for my jw brother-in-law and his fiance'.. it was one of those wedding showers where couples attend.
all the guys sit in one room and watch football and complain about their wives, and all the women sit in the other room and gossip and bash their husbands.. well that is how it usually goes.
i looked around and noticed all the husbands were hovering over the others wives and flirting and talking dirty and gossiping and brushing up against each other and so forth.

A friend of my wife and I that we grew up with this girl used to have a big crush on me. She used to be and is still is good looking. We did alot of things together and I considered her like a sister all ways knowing how she felt. I'll get to the story. We went for a visit for a week to her and her husbands place. They found out that we had all but quit going to the mettings everthing turned surreal and conversations turned to the THE DARK SIDE. My wife and I could not believe what they were telling us. They were telling us about Elders and Ministreal Servants swapping wives and most of the couples they were talking are people we thought were real good JW's. One Elder had just gave the main talk at the Assembly the week earlier. We left and went home and we talked alot about what they told us and did not know what to believe it was like a show of the wilight Zone. About three months later we went back for a another vist and during this visit they asked us if we would swap with them and named some of the couple that they has swapped with. They were serious and thought we would go along with it. To say the least we left and to add salt to our disbelief they started spreading Lies about us saying we were telling them apostate ideas and told others that we are no longer welcome at thier home becasue we are a bad influence on them.

How many ex JWs return to the Borg?
by greendawn insomeone told me there are statistics showing that ultimately one third of jws leaving will go back to the borg.
this is not the general impression one gets from this forum.
so what's really happening?

I personally have not know any that have left that has came back. That is the ones that have studied and left because they knew the Borg was not teaching the truth. Most that have left because they did like religion or where kicked out have returned. So most that know that the Borg is not the true religion do not go back.

Why would Jesus' first miracle be turning water into wine?
by truthseeker ini recently wondered why jesus would use his first miracle to make more brew - any ideas?.
i mean, i thought the first miracle would have been a healing or a resurrection or something.. i'm sure the wedding party didn't complain.. is it possible that this account was really the first miracle performed by jesus?
did jesus not perform miracles before his baptism?

Damn if I had the ablity to this I think I would do it the same way Jesus did. Party animals no doubt became his best friend after this. I would bet that this was not his first time but only the first time mentioned.
