i thought long and hard before making this thread, that many will not agree with it but i think there needs to be balance and people to realise there are alternate viewpoints out there on many of these subjects, the ones that are most spoke about on this forum.

i was recently sent a full message containing mary's book and these links give the rebuttal to many of her points.

No. But you can find men who are trying to submit to Jesus and follow the Bible- not have their #1 agenda control and an org. And they do not have to prophecy falsely in the name of God in doing so- as the WT is well known for.

It saddens me that so many elders and bethel workers are on here. And they have had hardest work to do they truly give all their life to Jehovah.

It is verry happifiying to see elders & Bethel workers on here. It is nice to see still active ones here as well who are trying to help others out while still working within. They did have the hardest work to do Reniaa- that is true. But they did not give their lives at all to Jehovah. They gave it to the org- a known false prophet.

So, what makes the Wt special? They have prohecied falsely more than all others. They have the same divorce, abuse, molestation percentages as others. They are the only religious group wrong on blood, this has resulted in numerous wrongful deaths.

and if I have one gripe with this site it is the exageration and constant need to put the worst spin on things happenning within the wts but I guess that comes with the territory.

Be assured that our teaching regarding chronology especially the date 607 BCE is soundly established on the insistance of the GB and their pulications.

The date is well proven and supported by several WT scholars many of whom are qualified at University level and have made significant contributions to biblical scholarship similatr to that of the NWT Committee- which had 1 scholar who did not know coine Greek.

Apostates have studied 607 BCE and only rely on archaeological, astronomical, and historical data in addition to the Bible itself. Further, such ones only not only prove the WT wrong but do provide us with the only solution offered in the Bible- Jesus himself; If the Witnesses are not the True Religion then where is it to found today? In Jesus Christ himself. The witnesses have no coherent doctrine, no ministry, no brotherhood in short they have NOTHING to offer except ridicule and vile hatred of Truth, Justice and Christiian Freedom.

they claim the root word for smoking in the original Greek has a meaning of sorcery.

They use the Cor verse on a defilement of the flesh- although the context of that verse is speaking false Gods as the defilements...not physical addictions

I'm in two minds about the date issue simply because they haven't predicted armegeddon, the dates could be a hangover of their adventist roots that needs weeding out

Reniaa, you have not frustated anyone in the sense you are thinking. People are frstrated and feel sorry for you in that you are unreachable. Honestly you have made a complete fool of yourself since entering this board. You have been decisively slepped down and shown wrong on every point you have made. One thing is clear we are both apposing religions and if in this thread the full laundry list of Jw beliefs are going to come out, I reserve the right to hold a long laundry list against other faiths too. when choosing a religion I look at the whole lot of them. So do you condone burning innocent women as witches? do you condone the genocide of the incas for gold? do you condone the massive death count between the warring religious fractions in Ireland whose religious leaders did nothing to stop them. if time can wipe out all these from religious guilt why are we not doing the same for JWs?

And you have not answered my question- on what scriptural basis do you select this laundry list when Jesus gave a simply statement regarding his disciples? You do not look at religions as a whole in your evaluation- if you did you would recognize the WT as a false prophet. I do not condone the above mentioning of burning woman or genocide of the incas- neither do most religions. You have not answered my question and have tried to change the topic to how time wipes out guilt in these things. How does apologizing or being enthusiastic as you call it wipe out the clear Biblical charge of being a false prophet?

I already said I don't hold dates against them, it looks like they did get a bit enthusiastic over 1975 and this is similar to a thousand of other religions especially young ones but one picture showed an apology so we either accept that or not.

A bit enthusiastic? They said that it had to happen that way for jesus to truly be what he said he is- Lord of the sabbath. That is more than a bit enthusiastic. Why does the WT get a free pass here?

I also see what you are doing here. You are uncomfortable where the thread is heading toward pinning the WT into a corner so you are diverting the attention to the laundry list the WT tells you makes htem the true religion...and where you feel more comfortable talking on. The history of the org is generally a very uncomfortable topic for JWs, eh Reniaa?
