Where does it all end?
There must be balance.
The End is what Witnesses live for; balance is impossible in such a life.
Funny how most eastern philosophies seek balance, while the WTS keeps its members imbalanced their whole life. They will quote from science to show why something is wrong and then demean science forthrightly.
Of course this is all to espouse their own agenda.

As you can see from the definitions, the capacity for either of the above conflicts with being a Witness; therefore they are not even a consideration.
This should not be a surprise, but expected. It is only a surprise if you are doubting their absolute control over you.

...and just as in "The Matrix", this Mr. Anderson has a hard time distinguishing reality from fiction, and is not sure he really wants to know the difference.
Clinging to programmed responses does not make them genuine, only redundant drivel (is that redundant?).
I was wondering if anyone knows of any warnings at meetings similar to when Dateline was going to broadcast their exposure of molestation. Perhaps the WTS is preparing warnings to shut the minds of the fleeced flock.
Maybe they will tell them to stay away from JWD.

ok.... i had to buy something today at a department store.
i was paying cash.
as the clerk was ringing up the sale, she said "phone number please".
I was shopping at Robinson's May the other day and was stunned when the cashier asked a customer, who had written a check, for her birthdate!! The older woman rattled it off as the girl writes it down on the check. I asked the cashier why and how they could ask such a thing? She gave some lame reasoning about check writers and it's just their store policy. That was a new one to me. Stepping to another register, I asked another cashier and she insisted it was part of their training and they need to ask. Seems to me like it would be illegal in this day of ID theft to get that personal.

How little it matters - how little we know
As vast and complex the universe we live in is, there will always be something more to learn, something learned to be discarded, but what remains, what has been the constant throughout history, is love.
And so, each time I'm out on my bike, climbing a mountain, each time I'm with my wife, using as much energy, I feel life. And I feel alive.
Whether this is mystical, practical, or a combination does not matter (to me) as much as the experience. To me, that is the beauty of life.
The experience removes the cobwebs that get in the way of feeling this.
