i havent seen anyone post about it, the link has a pdf on it of the court documents, and it looks like the stamp is from 5/12 but its blurry.. .
I just got off the phone with the plaintiff and unless I heard wrong, the shocking figure was 21 million and 1 dollar in punitive damages. Add that to 7 million yesterday and the total is 28 million and 1 dollar. There will be more information forthcoming.

Since I last posted I found out that the request for dismissal of the WT of PA came from plaintiff's attorney but it was a request for dismissal without prejudice which means that WT of PA can be sued again by the same plaintiff. I can only speculate on what this means.
I have not read the court documents yet but will study them as soon as I can. I've been told that there are many documents missing that other documents refer to and we can only hope that the attorneys involved will supply them after the excitement dies down.

Lawyers that seek advice from people like me are encouraged to sue the WT of PA as well as WT of NY. However, it has happened many times that WT of PA is removed later when WT attorneys file papers to have that entity removed and then convince a judge at a hearing that WT of PA has no dog in the fight. Perhaps this happened in this case. I'd have to go back and read carefully all the briefs that were filed. Watchtower of NY is the entity that controlled the Service Department back in the mid 1990s when this molestation took place so the bad decisions and bad policies of the Service Dept. (which is responsible for all of the JW organizational arrangements in the US) was laid at the door of the Watchtower of NY.

For clarity sake - Watchtower of NY is not really where most of the money is. Watch Tower of PA is where the money is. I wrote about this in an article that is on Freeminds.org. which explains which entity owns what.
For instance, WT of PA is the holder of the self-insured insurance program they have, and this is where the money goes to from congregation payments and donations.
Watch Tower of Pennsylvania was not part of this lawsuit. This is what I was told. However, people don't always get their facts straight and I can only repeat what I'm told that is if they give me permission to do so.

Info I just received from someone in the court room - The judge read to the jury, before they went into deliberation that the Watchtower [and this is the Watchtower of NY, not the Watch Tower of Pennsylvania], that "WT has $30M in cash and approx $1B in real estate."

This morning, and it's 10:10 A.M. now in California, the jury listens to the attorneys representing both sides. This event is supposed to be short and then the jury begins deliberation. Their decision will be announced tomorrow morning. If this part of the trial started at 9 A.M., it could already be over. We will have to sit tight and wait for more news as it is passed along. I'm quite excited about what has transpired since yesterday afternoon. This is a first! A victim that was determined to go to trial. She cared little about the settlement. It was not about the money! But in the long run, she might be the one who is awarded the most for the years of agony she spent because WT just didn't care about the children. Life is strange!

Right on, Sir82. You nailed it! Hopefully, the NY press coverage of what real estate experts calculated what the WT's worth in assets in Brooklyn alone was - 1 Billion - will make an impression on the jury.
I expect an appeal but with that will come more press coverage. Maybe it might be better for WT leaders to just take out the checkbook with the hope that the "persecution"will all go away and their secret settlements and coverups will go back to normal.
