  i've been reading your forum for a while and wanted to ask a question.. does anybody know how many take the emblems nowadays?

  they must all be about 120 years old now.

  hey........maybe the're really taking a secret elixia of life.. sound like a storyline for a new book by dan brown.

  Welcome Beautiful South. The number of 'Annointed' who partake of the 'emblems' appears to have 'levelled out' - at one point increasing, lol. The reason given is that some 'fall away' and are replaced - and the replacements are relatively young too I'll try and find numbers for you, but I bet someone will beat me to it

  i was born in 1969 at northern side of japan and started bible study with my brother when i was 10. later my mother joined and baptized when i was high school student.

  Well - if the T'Internet was to WTBTS advantage, it'd be 'broadcasting' that Jehovah is using/invented it for the 'ministry' - as it ISN'T to the WTBTS interest, it's a tool of satan.

  sooo its wet and raining, the folks are down touring bethel and the british musuem and i am at home, alone and listening to my music.. what are you lot doing?

  Yesterday - shopped with Mr Midwich - we discussed 'dinner' - he won, we had LIVER so I got a bottle of Port to even things out. We watched 'The Dark' on DVD - and after half a bottle of Port (and a few Vodkas - the real stuff from Mr Midwich's trip to Russia) I haven't a clue what the film was about.

  STILL, we woke up (eventually) Sunday morning and discussed the subject of 'Demons' - I untied Mr Midwich after he gave a satisfying explanation of car boot /Demons (see another thread).........well - I needed to really, he had to cook lunch. It's always a lot safer for him to cook (when I cook, we always have to bag a sample up for forensics - just in case).

  Crackdown on Marriages

  the latest rumblings are that the wtbts may start coming down hard on anyone who marries outside the faith.

  jw's who choose to marry a non believer will be df'd.

  i would imagine those marrying unbaptized ones will be marked or told to get the spouse baptized or get df'd.

  Going off of experience in my old congregations, the sisters who had MONEY were married to non-believers, and in certain cases, active opposers.

  Funny you should say that LDH, the only 'sister' in my former congregation who 'stood out' as being better off - expensive clothes, house and cars (and she was admired for it), was married to a man who had a good business but was never a JW.

  i understand that a fair number(not all) are used by criminals to sell goods.. should a true christian go to such events if sustect activty is going on?

  I was talking to Mr Midwich earlier - about why demons want to cling to shoddy household goods (or indeed a more Middle Class Demon clinging onto your Laura Ashley furnishings Katie) - and he suggested that they're bored and when you're bored even an old chair looks interesting.
