as you know, he posted to us on wednesday morning (after the tuesday night vigil) saying that he felt very bad.
claire ended up having to go home from work because he was feeling so weak and having some trouble breathing.. here are her emails.

The next cover-up or scandal?

with the population aging and with jw's becomming incresingly poor, there will be a lot more elder abuse, and i don't mean congregation elders, but elderly people.. does anyone know of this taking place in the congregations?.

The JWs always brag about "taking care of their own." What about all the elderly ones that have holes in their home? Or maybe no groceries, or unable to buy their medication?? But they are expected to be at meetings and in field service.
Even though this might not legally be elder abuse, I think it's just as bad.They sure aren't being too "god-like".

Do you remember the Green family? They moved to Moberly,mo. They had several kids. One daughter, who would be 40-41 now, is named Tracy. Our family used to go to Bowling Green and visit occasionally before they moved. Small world!

What did shunning do to you?

each year tens of thousands of people are disfellowshipped, and experience the reality of being shunned.
many of them still believing the wts doctrine that if they die in this condition they will shortly be executed by god at har-meggedon and die an eternal and disgraceful death some leaving the faith altogether.

Damn, I don't even know where to start on this subject. I was DF'd first time mainly cause I was disobiendent to my parents and went and lived with my birth dad. I missed my sisters and brother so much (I raised them.)--that I was reinstated. By this time I was a single teen mom. After several months I realized I couldn't raise my daughter that way. I left again--and was DF'd again. OH, can't forget to mention my stepdad, MS, sexually abusing me for years, and my mom knew.
I went back to Texas, where my birthdad and stepmom were. She was more of a mom than my mom was. I went real wild-- drinking, drugs, sex....2 suicide attempts within several years. I felt betrayed by my parents in Missouri. I missed my siblings so much.One note to my mom and stepdad said "you can't ignore me forever, I'll be waiting on you both in hell". Many, many years, 2 rehabs, and a couple mental hospitals later, they tell me I'm bipolar and have post-traumatic stress syndrome. I'm still battling with the bipolar thing. Last Sunday was my 1st birthday being clean.

Any anti-experiences?

One of the hospitals I worked at in the Dallas area hired a new public relations person. They were impressed by the way she dressed and carried herself. It didn't take long and she started meddling with patients that were JWs. She'd help herself to their medical records, which she had NO legal or ethical reason to access. That breached confidential information. There were a couple cases when she'd call the elders of their congregation before we'd even have them fully admitted. At the same time she'd take it upon herself to talk to their doctors. It didn't take long for her and I to cross paths--and it was not pretty! Needless to say, it didn't take long for her to lose her job. Then she had the gall to try and get me in trouble. She blamed me for raising so much hell with administration! OK, I am guilty of that! Couldn't help myself there!
And I loved every minute of watching her squirm. After that experience, a guy in the human resource department said that he couldn't use religion to discriminate and not hire someone on that basis, BUT.......As far as I know, there are no JWs employeed there!!

Thoughts please..
by WILKO inthis is something that i would like thoughts on, well two things really.
i was disfellowedship about ten years ago, so witnesses reading this will say am bitter, apostate, whatever they like, couldnt careless really, am just an ordinary gal married expecting her first baby working etc... but is it or is it not unchristian to be ignorant?.
thats what some witnesses do to those disfellowshipped.

If anyone is ignorant it's the JWs that follow blindly the orders from WBTS, not you. They take words and twist them to mean whatever they want it to mean. They probably check out these sites to see what their competition is doing and try to find the identities of anyone that can. They are scared that people actually started thinking for themselves and called them on their shit. I"ve been out 20 years, sometimes I do still get pissed off at them for tearing up families and trying to screw with people's minds. They use scare tactics to keep people in line.
Disfellowshipping and shunning is another of their threats. Nothing god-like about that. Who wants a god that is constantly giving out threats of doom and gloom? Who wants a god that doesn't seem to happy, and that never seems to want the best for it's followers??? This is where I have to thank my 12 step group! I "fired" my god (jehovah) and now have one that wants only what is best for me. One that allows me to be imperfect and make mistakes, and then forgives me. One that shows UNCONDITIONAL love---something we never knew existed in the world of the dubs!!!
I kinda like my pagan faith! For a while I felt guilty, but not anymore. Everyone is entitled to a god of their own understanding!!
