i look at all the new folk here that seem to have joined in the past 2 months and are posters who are under 100 posts and i gotta wonder why.. has something happened in dubland recently to cause a lot of folk to reach out?

Hi everyone. I'm also a nubie. As I've said in an earlier post I've decided to contibute only recently, even though I've been out of the troof for a few years now, and only been trolling. My mum and dad are still in but they know that I'm not. So it's not really a secret and really I couldn't care less who knows. But I've been trying to let me folks know what the REAL deal is, without success. My only regret is that I BROUGHT THEM IN! D'oh!!!!!
Gotta say tho, it's good to see others that have also realised the myth behind the facade that the WTBS is putting up. I have been reading a lot of previous posts and say cheers to ppl like IP_SEC, Blondie, JH, jgnat, kls, RichieRich, ozziepost, misspeaches, GetBusyLiving, Englishman, Minimus, LittleToe, and of course EvilForce. (Alright thats all I can remember). You guys and all the other regulars continue to keep the flame alive as it were by continuing to ask the right questions, making all those reading think. And the laughter too, how can I forget about that? (Just finished reading the joke thread PMSL)
So I will try to contribute when I can and just like to say this is the best forum. Especially when I see the bond some of you have made. Now this is real LOVE. Not the one preached from the platform of your local hall, but REAL. So good on you guys and girlz. Keep it up and I'll try to join in when I can.

Do JWs believe in "signs"
by Shawn indo jws believe that god can use mundane everyday things to show his will?
my friend says she doesn't believe in signs, i am wondering if this is a jw mindset or her personal one.
it is something i have asked her and she said it was her beliefe but i wonder how much the wts had to do with it.

They do believe in signs... those that suit their propaganda: earthquakes, war, crime, increase to their ranks and the like. How excited they get if a major news event (or minor, for that matter) happens that they can point to and say: 'See the END is NEAR!!!!!' 'Preach More!'
Everything else is the Devil's work...

Seeker4's 500th Post - My letter to the Elders (2nd Posting)

i have not heard a word from them since i wrote this.
i posted this monday night (may 30, 2005) to celebrate my 500th post, but it ended up in the "heated debates" section, when i intended it to go in this area.

Seeker4 Read this last night...damn thats good! Since I faded out I don't know if I'll ever get a chance to write a similar letter. But I might yet get the chance, my old man tells me that they are asking about me... after what, 6,7 years? I think they want to know if I've D/A myself. Shit yeah! But I won't give them the satisfaction of me admitting that. Why? Dissaociate from what? Just cuz I don't go the KH? Nah, I just LEFT. Association has nothing to do with it. Hey, come out clubbin' with me and we can associate LOL
Still if I am in a position to do this I will use some of your points... with your permission of course!
I just wonder, if this letter will go around to the others as you have asked? Or if others might take notice esp in Bethel etc. I guess I know the answer already.... 'cone of silence'

Hi all,
I have been lurking on this board on and off for a few years. I am an xjw from Victoria, Australia. Faded out a few years ago. So I have been monitoring this board to see what **new light** is emanating from the mighty ones in the FDS. At the moment still trying to catch up with the latest.
Anyway, saw this thread and I thought I'd make my first contribution. After leaving the borg, I looked into other types of spirituality ie. not those having to do with attending church (or any type of halls LOL). Meditation, Kabbalah, witchcraft etc. Thought that the way to true spiritual 'enlightenment' was recognition of a diety, and self empowerment. I still do.
Now to the topic: I had a couple of dreams that came true. One was when I was promoted a couple of years ago. It was, a couple of months before it happened. Here it was winter. But in my dream, I dreamt it was summer, and my boss and the regional manager came to me and offered me a 'contract' that was wrapped in red ribbon. Like when you get presents... Well in December (Summer) it happened. Tho it wasn't the contract wrapped in ribbon.... it was me in the managers office.
The other time was before I met my G/F. I dreamt of her a few weeks prior.
Coincidence? Perhaps Don't know, but that's my 'experience'.
On another matter, but still on the esoteric, I had quite a few dramatic Traot card readings, that I did myself. They came true anywhere from the next day to within a couple of weeks.
So ther may be things we don't quite understand... hmmmm......
