JW-like link from an old co-worker

a few days ago i received a friend request from an a guy whom i used to work with many years ago.

i accepted his request and this morning i receieved a salutation from him as well as a link to a video (posted below).

much of what is in the video sounds as if it came straight from the watchtower such as the use of "christendom" as all other churches, the paganism that permeates christianity, the removal of god's name from the bible.

"Heavens Crown Ministries" ? Who are these folks? There does not seem to be much about them on the web.

I read a bit on "Yahwehs" website and after that I parused a few other related sites. I find it amusing that many people have "talked to God" and in his kindness he has revealed his true name to them. Strange thing is that it is not always the same.

A few days ago I received a friend request from an a guy whom I used to work with many years ago. I accepted his request and this morning I receieved a salutation from him as well as a link to a video (posted below). I did not see any reference to a particular church or group so I am asking if any of you know what group is behind this clip?

Clown co-workers, do you have them at your place of employment?

today at work all of the hourly personnel were called to a meeting in the cafeteria of our workplace to view a training video that explained how to use the new knonos clock with job codes system.

the person on the video was one of our floor managers who had been chosen the week before to be the "star" of the training video.. this manager has a very thick indian accent and admittedly can be hard to understand at times, but i usually do pretty well.

as the video was being displayed on the large pull-down screen, i noticed a few of the guys in my department (warehouse) pointing near the bottom of the screen and looking puzzled.. after the viewing we went back to our respective work areas and i went up to the guys who seemed confused during the meeting.

Snakes = Married

it has been over a month and a half since i have even been on the board, and that really only to ask about gps units (got a tom-tom) and mention the new job.

way too busy with life - post jw now 4 years.. of course, the new job has benefits, health insurance, etc.

(including unlimited use of the company car for personal use and the company pays for the unlimited gas for about a $25/week out of my check -- huge benefit) and this has enabled toni and i to finally after a two year engagement, to get married.

So please tell us what kind of ceremony do snakes employ when they get married? Do you hang from a tree and tempt one another or do you try to con the guests by exchanging secrets for money. Enquiring minds want to know!

The concept of God is fading away

if you guys look at my first post, you'll notice i said "i still believe in god" even after losing my faith in the wt.

well, it's been 4 months since i wrote that and now i'm not so sure i still believe.

in fact i'm mostly convinced he doesn't exist.

Fade_away it sounds like you wrote my experience leaving the "truth". I too, at first, was still a believer and went about visiting several different churches trying to find where "he" could be found. What I found was situations that were "different but the same" in that I was expected to take certain things as gospel truth. As time went on I also began reading and studying science and history and soon came to the conclusion that I just do not know and have left it at that.

I remember a lady who lived down the street from us in Dallas who we were witnessing one hot September afternoon and my partner quoted that scripture in Eph 5. She was obviously a very strong willed woman and after we did our presentation, she retorted "I do have deep respect for my husband, but that don't stop me from knocking the shit out of his silly self when he is out of line."

We said our goodbyes and left quickly.

And it's funny that as I read this interesting thread, there is an ad on the right hand side advertising Herbert W. Armstrong, another kook who came out of the ashes of the Second Adventists. I believe he also held 1975 as being a year of some significance.
